Is the best ive ever seen. the mods arnt abusing, inmature 36 yr olds who live in the basment of their parents house. The main posters are awsome. The topics arnt invaded by spammers (not usually) and they derail a thread in less time than it takes to go out and get a cup of Starbucks. Sadly, the forum seems to be slowly dying. 
This cannot be allowed! Almost none of the newcomers post anything and some entire subcatigories have gone without a new topic for ages.

Personally I don't think it's dying. The day Aramor stops posting here is the day this forum dies. But yes it isn't growing as much as I would like. The main problem is that this forum just really isn't getting that much attention. Bernie turned ALP into a Cthulhu, it lives only when the stars are right. Dead (or rather, undead) web comics don't garner as much attention as living ones do. ALP can't grip new readers in with the promise of new issues any more. IYSS is alive and kicking, but unfortunately Bernie set is aside on it's own site, with comment fields for each comic, which usually deflects attention from the forum. I myself would suggest just relocated ALP completely onto the IYSS site, truly unifying the forum to involve both fan bases.

way i see it, the forum has reached its evolution potential and is not likely to grow any more. nor die, mind you. there is no influx like it used to be in the regular strip update days, but the group of hardcore nerds here seems to insist on hanging around even without the comic to support their interest. the forum just lives its own life, unrelated to the comic (it really has for some two years now) and depends on the quality (dedication, sharing of interests), rather than quantity of the members.
i must say i like it this way. it feels cozy in here.
edit: if there's one ex-member i miss, it's Pieh.

Ok so i get bored and try to look for IYSS but cant get a hit so i try to wikipedia it. no go. i try alp i see this as the description for the forum:
The forum:
The ALP forum is rather small, numbering little more than two thousand members. Less than a couple of hundred of those can be considered regular posters. Bernie Hou runs contests and events in the forums . The forum covers a wide range of subject matters, but generally acts more like an online lounge than anything else. Hou is forum administrator. Members Dean, Blaster, and Munan function as moderators.
