I have a problem. The academy where I study/work has this annual "offsore seminar." The actual seminar is on land but after that we go on a shipcruise where we just have some fun. Every seminar has had a theme and this year it is "artists down the ages." So the problem is I gotta have a costume but I can't think of anything else than Cher, Marilyn Monroe or Spice Girls. The artist should preferably be a woman. It wasn't specified what kind of artist we are talking about but apparently the singing kind.
I have pondered between Janis Joplin and Ann Wilson but I'd like to have more options. Please help me on my impossible task, my fellow AlP'ers.

Grace Jones would be great if I were that tall. Also I liked the idea of Piaf but I'm not that short. And Ruby Rod, lol.
Maybe I should wear a bald cap and dress as manic Britney Spears. But I don't think they'll let me in the ship looking like that.

I think you should be Frida Kahlo. All you need for a costume is a sun dress and a marker to draw a unibrow with. But she wasn't a musician.
You could also not bathe until after the cruise and be Amy Winehouse.
Other than that I'm not certain because I don't really pay attention to female artists. Or female anythings, really.
