Picking it up today. The game was also reviewed in the same Dec 08 issue of xbox magazine. I'm looking forward to it. I've got about $3100 in gold via the pub games and a dog flip unlocked. In the article, Peter spoke of "knowing" about the money glitch and having something in store for the cheaters at Pub games. I'm curious if this is true or just another Singing Sword. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

Enjoying this game. My dog sniffed out treasure. I dug. the Treasure? A condom. First condom I've discovered in my videogame experience. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

Same. And it's pretty much supposed to happen.
Loving the game, by the way. It's a bit of a shame though, how Fallout 3 will stump Fable II, but it's still a great game and I reccomend it to anyone who likes RPG's.

Hey cfos, what's your character? |
I agree. Very enjoyable. I also think that Fallout will trump this game. I was a little bothered by the Archeology quests -- yeah, I'm studying the freakin notes and not finding anything (eventually, I did complete 3 quests) and some of the controls, but really enjoying it. My character is a chick that is focusing on skills with Magic. Not much strength stuff except for the hps and I think i did go up to get block. She's mostly a good character, got 5 star in blacksmith and bartender. Did some wood chopping, too. Just unlocked some of the bounty-hunter quests. Bought a few stands and rent out a few gypsie tents and I bought the bookstore -- couldn't figure out any other way to open it. How about you? Going the path of evil? _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

Actually, yes. I played as a good guy in the first game, and I mean a very polite and selfless hero. But apparently being a terrorizing brigand rewards you with many other things other than feeling good about being good.
So I now tread a low path as a blade/magic-savvy dude that enjoys scowling at small children, and punting poultry. I've only played for three hours, so I'm not very far into the game. However, once I beat the game using this bastard, I'll move onto a nice female character. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

*Sigh* I guess I'll have to wait until it comes out on PC. Hopefully the Publisher doesn't muck it up with intrusive DRM. _________________

I have begun searching for the Hero of Skill.
Spoiler: | That Spire was a pain. |

Yeah, that guy is a poofter. I kept getting a job announcement for Bloodstone, but couldn't find it. Apparently, you don't until you search for the Hero of Skill.
I finished my first play-through (MQ) this weekend *wanted to get it done before Fallout 3*. Enjoyed it. Watched the credits, because I wanted to see who voiced "Gareth". Ron Glass. I knew it was familiar. he was the "Preatcher" from Firefly/Serenity. Overall, I found this game entertaining. Will likely replay as "all good" or "all evil". had some issues with the camera/dog and much frustration with those stupid archeology quests. Encountered at least one glitch where I couldn't buy furniture in Bowerstone. I wish you could "jump" -- I'd get trapped in a fenced-in enclosure or in a house by villagers and could get around them. Had to cast a spell to scare them away so I could move. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

I also completed the game last night. Due to the undeniable nature of my character (who is the manifestation of cruelty), I naturally chose the monetary reward at the end, much to the chargin of the game itself. My character was a freakin' pirate, he had the bandit trousers and shirt, adventurer boots, highwayman hat, and an eyepatch.
But I thoroughly enjoyed the game and have already begun a new chracter. Hoping to redeem myself from my meretriciously cold-hearted pirate chracter, I am now playing as a rather charming female sword-totting marskman.
I am getting Fallout 3 tomorrow [10/28], so I know that game will suck up a majority of my playtime, but I feel confident I will continue on Fable II as well.
BTW: Garth even does look like Ron Glass. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

I wouldn't say I was disturbed by finding a condom. I was amused. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |
