Okay, so of the three things I'm obsessed with, Predators and Aliens, H.P. Lovecraft, and Mystery Science Theater 3000, MST3K is probably the biggest, narrowly hedging out AVP.
So I'm just wondering, for those of you who have seen the show, which episode is your favorite? For me it's a tossup between Final Sacrifice, Jack Frost, The Day The Earth Froze, Pod People, and Time Chasers. They're all so great.

I've been watching a lot of MST3K, and so far that one has been my favorite. That and Space Mutiny
Also, who was the better host, Joel or Mike? Mike tends to be funnier in the theater, but I think Joel was more entertaining in the between sequences. _________________

No, not Joel vs. Mike! This could end in bloodshed! I don't know how many of you were around for the great Joel vs. Mike flamewar of '93. Still have the shrapnel in my leg.
Seriously, I love them both. I used to think Mike was better because he was more lively and awake than Joel, but I have gotten to appreciate Joel's comedic timing and low-key delivery. He flubs his lines more often, but seems more natural somehow. Sorry, that was uncalled for.
Personally, I think the show did suffer in some ways like host segments and I definitely prefer Dr. Forrester and Frank over Pearl, Bobo and Brain Guy, but I think the last three SCIFI seasons were really awesome. They produced classics like Prince Of Space, Final Sacrifice and Jack Frost. Not saying they're better than Pod People or The Day The Earth Froze, but definitely great. I can never remember the names so I really can't say which ones I loved the most. Although the MST3K Movie: This Island Earth was pretty damn awesome.
