Since I feel bad about being a grumpy old man during Wtf Russia? 2008, and being as 'The Prem' is about to start up again, I'm wondering if anyone's interested in doing an aLp league?
I'm looking at you Sal. And also our Irish friend Baron Von Pissalot. Assuming he gets over his illness in time for the season. And anyone else who wants in. Let me know and I'll set one up. The Guardian does a decent league system. Or we could play the official Premier League FF game, maybe. _________________

you saw right through me, i'm in.
been some time since i was up-to-date with the situation in Premiership, but that's not gonna stop me, no sir.
would be nice if there was more than 3 (presumably) of us though. i'm not expecting the Yankee lot here to jump in, but the Europeans could, and should (Aramor, Munan? Digit maybe?).
in related news, Cristiano Timberlake is back at Man U. _________________ i have no time for anal love

Thanks to the use of hallucinogenic drugs.
I don't think Armoirio cares for the beautiful game. Perhaps he could play by using your good lady's system of picking players based on attractiveness. _________________

There's the door.
League created. Go to http://www.guardian.co.uk/fantasyfootball, pick your team and formation, register and you're good to go. They don't need many details for registration. Once you're happy with your squad pm me your e-mail; and I'll send you an invite to the aLp league. _________________

League created. Go to http://www.guardian.co.uk/fantasyfootball, pick your team and formation, register and you're good to go. I expect that there will only be three of us since nobody in America likes this sport. They don't need many details for registration since they are so hard up for people to use their site. Once you're happy with your squad pm me your e-mail; and I'll send you an invite to the aLp league. You see, we don't need to institute a draft like other fantasy leagues since there will only be 3 of us. Hell, we can all pick they same players! It really makes no difference. Whoever wins will get to serve as host for Lori Manaudou. You may have to wait a bit though. She usually places 7th or 8th... and doesn't like Italians. |
Now THAT's editing. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

Now THAT's editing. Now that I've gotten that off my chest though, I am more than likely going to secretly join this league of yours, just so I can see what the whole of the rest of the world watches to keep itself amused while I waste my time glued to the 3rd division lacrosse highlights. |

Oh wait, I was just distracted by the hum of the dishwasher... What was I saying? Oh yeah... Lacrosse is something only college people care about and was something we took from Native Americans. In America, it only reaches the news when you get accusations like the one at Duke and it provides an avenue for white people to discuss at job interviews. If I were going to waste my time with a silly sport, I'd watch something like rowing. Rowing is only slightly more interesting than golf or as the late George C. would say, "watching flys F*! Also from George: "Soccer is not a sport because Americans aren't good at it." Anyway, no I won't join your league. Perhaps it will provide y'all an avenue to forget how bad all your countries are at swimming. Maybe you could try the French. They may be interested in that. Oh wait, they suck, too, don't they? |

Fucking typical. The moment I sign Fabregas the little bugger tweaks his hammie and he's out for two weeks.
We're waiting on you, Irish. Pick yer squad, already. _________________

a form of circle jerking for european males aged 15-55.
@Chainsaw: i almost did a similar thing with Rosicky, but luckily i learned in time that he's out for the beginning of the season. in this case, i hope Gerrard will be in his usual form this season, i shelled out 10m for him. _________________ i have no time for anal love

Every time I try to pick a team name, it tells me it's invalid, and then I have to pick my team again. Getting fed up now.
Edit: Got it to work. Evidently Pissalot United is an invalid team name... _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

ZOMG! No swears on the internets!
@Sally. I have Stevie G. in another FF game I'm playing, but not this one. It'll be interesting to see how he compares in the two. _________________

i seem to have inadvertently taken advantage of a sorta bug in the game. i took Robbie Keane, unaware of his recent move to L'pool, and the game still featured him as a Hotspur. that laves me with a total of 4 L'pool players in the squad, so i guess i'm taking some risk here. if they suck, they'll take my team down with them. _________________ i have no time for anal love

If they have him down as a Spurs player still, then that's their fault. IMO it's good to pick Liverpool defensive players now that they're 'boring boring' Liverpool, and rarely concede. _________________

Nah, they said anyone that moved late was still going to count for their former team, but obviously was still only going to score points for the matches they played in (for their new team). _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

If I got involved in this, I would only pick players with interesting or funny names. That's how I pick players for the baseball All-Star game. _________________ "Yeast devil! Back to the oven that baked you!" |

Bollocks and shit! Stupid fucking game! Didn't save the fact I subbed on Wheater. Way to cost me 21 points, Guardian.co.uk.
I've also just noticed that it didn't save that I'd subbed Carew for Fabregas. Way to cost me 35 points. _________________

Tell me about it. With Carrick injured, maybe Hargreaves will get to kick a ball at some point now. _________________
