Next tuesday, I will fly to Istanbul (which is not called Constantinople anymore, as They Might Be Giants (<--clickey) have told us).
From there my housemate and me will travel for a month through south east Turkey (close to the Iraqi boarder), Syria and Jordan. I'd be interested in what you guys think about these countries, especially Syria - which was called a rogue state by president Bush - and their cultures (i.e. Arab/Muslim and Turkish/Muslims).

However, I too will take to the air again -- next week. NYC. Red Sox at the stadium on July 4th.

you mean avenge since it is an indirect event to you.
syria should be a wizening experiance to you if you bother to go look at the old ruins which many archeologists believe to be one of the foundations of the birth of modern soceity.
as soon as i heard about the viking ruins in nova scotia i went there to stand there and feel it. i am very moved by ancient relics, which had no bearing on my staying in tijuana for 3 months though heheh! |

It's actually the second time I go there, so it's mostly to sit and sip tea with the locals that I'll be going this time.

See, I don't really have that. I'm more into dramatic nature and local culture.
Also, since I visitied those ancient ruins with my ex-girlfriend, I'll mostly be missing her.

LOL. Sorry to say it, Aramor, but the use if "revenge" in place of "avenge" is a pet peeve of mine. (Unless you were doing it intentionally, of course.)

When you are doing it on behalf of someone else, it is avenging. "to revenge" usually means, "to avenge oneself." Or at least it did last time I checked.
