Well, I undercoated about half of my army with spray-on Skull White. After I was done, I looked at the directions, and they said to spray from a distance of 30 cm. I had been using a distance of 5-10 cm, so it went on a little thickly and unevenly sometimes. Crying or Very sad

Hopefully it will look nice in the end.

Meh, I spray them from the same distance. As long as you don't keep spraying them for 5 minutes, it'll be fine.

Well, I used some paint stripper on the carnifex because I am anal about these things. In retrospect, it may have been more trouble than it was worth. The stripper pretty much liquifies the paint, but then it tends to collect in the crevices and can be a bitch to wipe off.

Well, I assembled a manufactorum today. I think I'll get my bro to paint it.

Wait, first you put it together and then you're gonna paint it? Maybe with one of those it's not that big of a problem, but have you ever tried painting a Termagant after it's assembled? It's a pain in the ass.

Everything is a pain in the ass to paint the way that I do it.

I find that assembling the model first lets me determine if I need to fill in any gaps, and also suggests optimal shading choices.

Yeah good point. I don't even really use shading. It's more like "Ah, carapece, let's make it green. And a blade... let's make it red. Now, what am I going to do with that part... hmm, the black undercoat looks pretty cool on it, let's keep it that way."

Here are some first-edition hormagaunts that it took me forever to work on. I still need to apply some varnish because the paint can chip off rather easily when they fall over, which they often do because they are so horribly balanced. I am thinking to put heavy things on the bases to balance them better.
