So... didja pick up the new AvP:R DVD?

If you haven't bought the AvP:R DVD that came out on Tuesday yet, I thought I'd mention - there's TWO different versions; make sure you get the right one. The 1-disc version is very bare bones, but the 2-disc Collector's Edition is only about $5 more, and it's the one that comes packed with all the special features and documentaries in stuff (some of which are very cool - I highly recommend the one about the creation of the Predator home planet).

Figured I'd put out the "public service warning" - when I bought my copy at Best Buy, they were almost sold out of the 2-disc version, and I always hate getting stuck with the lame version and then finding out later I bought the wrong one.

Only thing worse was back when you'd accidentally buy the "full frame" DVD instead of the "widescreen" version - thank GOD the studios have pretty much stopped doing THAT! Cool

Well, I think I'll have to wait for the pack for some time. They release movies, books and such something like 2-6 months later after the original release. I'm very excited about the collector's edition. I already have a documentary on making Alien quadrology... It's called the Alien saga or something like that.

I dunno' why it's hated so much. It's not the worst movie ever. Transmorphers was. Lol, total Transformers rip-off.

I don't know why, but the unrated version just seemed much better than the theatrical cut. I left the theater the day it came out with mixed feelings, and now after watching the unrated, I thoroughly believe this movie was very under-rated.

Of course that doesn't excuse the B-movie story-line.

Fuckin'-A I did! Got the unrated virsion too! As far as the movie it self goes, I thought their could've been a tiny bit more Predator action, but other then that it's a cut above the rest!

How does the unrated version differ from the theatrical version? Does it have more gore or is it somehow different? Alternative ending where all the annoying characters die? Oh, damn, That already happened in the theatrical cut.

Me and two of my friends are going to have an alien, predator, avp movie night but I'm not that excited on watching either of the avp movies.

Got the unrated version, and must say I was rather disappointed, I liked the first AVP better, way better than this one....
