Was going to... Saw the ads on Sci Fi, but the wife didn't want to miss her shows (Desperate Housewives) and I picked up a new game (Mass Effect). And then it was midnight. Was it good? I figured, it being on Sci Fi, it will rerun.

I'm not gonna say it's the best thing I've ever seen of that it's brilliant, but I'm enjoying it. It's entertaining and has actors that I've actually heard of, such as Richard Dreyfuss and Alan Cumming.

It does have the flying monkeys, though, which was really the only thing I cared about. They were the only reason that I watch the original "Wizard of Oz" when it's on.

Is Dreyfuss the Wizard? I thought I saw a scene in the promos where he was talking about "we must protect her!" Sci Fi has been hit or miss, lately. The "new" Flash Gordon being a miss.

Yeah; Dreyfuss = Wizard.

Just keep in mind that it is a SciFi thing so maybe you shouldn't keep your hopes too high.

I tried watching the pilot episode of Flash Gordon, but it just kept going on and on and it didn't end. I was also really annoyed in the opening scene when they showed him winning a marathon because everyone I've seen who wins marathons (not that I know anyone personally, but seeing competitive runners on things like the Olypmics) usually aren't that solidly built.

Caught some of Tin Man. Kinda interesting concept. Sort of ghetto-ized with characters named "DG". Actually, thought that was funny.

The new "Flash" is horrible. It amazes me that Sci Fi cancels Farscape and puts on crap.
