No I'm not. But amazingly, I now already have it. God damnit now 4 games to play through...
Still, it's a blessing that I have at least 10 different stores selling games within 10 minutes of my house. _________________

Play as the Navy guy, he has the best all-round starting stats. And be sure to put points into Hacking and Standard guns early on. Hacking turrets saves a lot of hassle. And leave caches of equipment on the middle decks, because you'll pass through 'em a lot and you'll find loads of stuff you won't be able to use very well yet, and run out of inventory space otherwise.
Also; watch out for the macarena protocol droid. _________________

Thought I'd mention that a reliable but unnamed source told PC Gamer a while back that Mass Effect will definitely be on PC. Noticed it when I was re-reading an old issue. Hardly surprising news, but there you go.
Also I actually dug out 'Shock 2 and played it a few weeks back. It's still got it. _________________

OXM gave it a 10/10!! They say it's the best story ever to be in video game, among other things. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

| Gah, gotta wait another week yet in the UK. I'll be pre-ordering it along with Kane & Lynch later. With Mass Effect, COD 4, and Assassin's Creed all out at once this is getting ridiculous. I've given Crysis a miss, since I don't have a DX10 card. I was going to wait until later to get 'Creed, but I changed my mind on that. I'm sure this mad rush to release everything in the first three weeks of November is killing creativity in the industry way faster than the likes of EA ever could. Everybody's gonna have to give at least one big-budget AAA title a miss, until after the initial sales period. I just hope that one of these games doesn't become the victim of an oversaturated marketplace, and people with not enough time or money. |

It might arrive early. Online retailers usually ship early to make the release date. I got Bioshock one day early. I'm hoping Mass Effect takes more than one day to finish, though. _________________

The game is roughly 60 hours long, excluding side-quests, and they give you 32 planets to ravage. It's pretty much Oblivion super-sized. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

Er, yeah, thanks Captain Obvious Jr. That was sarcasm about the fact Bioshock (and most other big name current gen titles) can be completed in one or two sittings. _________________

This is fact? Because I've always assumed, because of KotOR, but I've never heard how long it was exactly. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

Dr. Z said 40 hours in an interview I saw. Assuming that's the usual industry bullshit it's probably nearer to twenty or thirty if you're one of those weirdoes who skips all the sidequests. _________________

Good, I hate short games.
KotOR was awesome with its extreme length. And it never got repetative or banal. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

i just finished Mass Effect.
it doesn't really live up to the hype that ushered it in, but it indeed yields a most pleasurable gaming experience.
my female green-eyed fiery-red-haired Shepard was so hot it was hard to concentrate on the action sometimes.
and yes, there was girl-on-girl involved. yowza! _________________ i have no time for anal love

Mass Effect 2 prmises more habited planets, and better handling on the Mako. Anyways, yes, the female characters were umm... well-endowed. Especially Tali... _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

I just picked it up recently - great stuff from Bioware as usual. It really is time to spend some money on my desktop PC though - epic as my laptop is, its video adapter really isn't up to the task. _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!
