In the mid of ´90s this one finnish "artist" masturbated on a cat after killing it. He video taped it and put it on a exhibition. Let me explain... Now, stereotype radar should be ON for this to be understood correctly.
First of all I assume that Lars Holdhus is his name... Lars is stereotypical swedish name though its not really that common. The most common name there is Oscar.
For the surename Holdhus I can't come up with anything. In swedish hus means house but hold doesn't mean anything as far as I know. I can be wrong though, it's known to be happened.
Also, he wears tennis socks. He has to be from the Northern Europe.
And he's gay because he doesn't pay attention to that girl. Not to mention that he's a swede. (It's just a finnish thing to think that all the Swedes are gays. Neighbour rivalry. Like Canada and US and A.) Also, he dances like a closet gay. Very insecurely.

Anyway, Holdhus sounds more Danish than Swedish, actually. Also, I don't find your reasons for him being gay convincing. I have been know to dance (better than he does, though) to Madonna with a girl in the room without paying too much attention to her. For all I knew, she could have been masturbating at that very moment.

I did some quick "research" with google. There are some Holdhus's in Denmark. And you can easily get to Amsterdam from Denmark by car for example... I'm just thinking aloud.
And no, I don't think my reasons for him being gay are that convincing at all... just a initial thought that you made me justify.
