|
|
Make a playlist and put it here that has the music that makes you groove, gets your toes wiggling, makes your shoulders 'should,' your fingers 'fing,' or whatever. Make a playlist for yourself. I also promise to listen to all the playlists that I hope you all give me. I hope you like mine. I call it The Bark Ball.
I'm going to make an effort to include driving music and a couple funk songs.
1.) "Pigs" by Pink Floyd
2.) "We Don't Stop" by Michael Franti & The Spearheads
3.) "Turn To Stone" by ELO
4.) "Watchin' the Wheels" by Matisyahu
5.) "Sunshine Superman" by Donovan
6.) "My Stoney Baby" by 311
7.) "Got To Get You Into My Life" by Earth, Wind & Fire
8.) "Good Vibrations" by The Beach Boys
9.) "The Cowboy Song" by Faith No More
10.) "Teakwood Betz" by Perpetual Groove
11.) "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult
12.) "Work That We Do" by Sublime
13.) "Smoke Some Weed" by Ice Cube
14.) "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" by The Temptations
15.) "Kielbasa" by Tenacious D _________________ "Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein |

is there a song limit? i think there should be. like we all stick to 15.
okay, a playlist for me, based on the current mood-o-meter's display and influenced by what i listened to recently.
1. sign o' the times (live) - prince [the 1987 heavily guitarized version]
2. a complicated song - weird al
3. ballad of hank mccain - john zorn & mike patton
4. memory lane - elliott smith
5. lola - kinks
6. thinking about you - norah jones
7. what goes around...comes around (live) - justin [the kickass paris live version]
8. mutron angel - outkast
9. all day sucker - stevie wonder
10. memory of a free festival - david bowie
11. just like suicide (acoustic!) - chris cornell
12. blue veins - the raconteurs
13. cop shoot cop - spiritualized
14. sofa - frank zappa [really any version will do, even the one sung in german]
15. orgasm - prince [yeah!]
yeah, i would definitely listen to this playlist now.
edit: typo in a prince song title? i'm seriously losing it. _________________ i have no time for anal love

Nice! That's tremendous - suits the song much better than the band version, I think. _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

That one I've heard before - it's really gorgeous though. I love Cornell's accoustic stuff - it showcases his voice so well.
Edit: some of the comments under Black Hole Sun really showcase the number of morons there are using the internet.
Okay, here's a playlist for the kind of mood I'm in at the moment.
1.Father Lucifer - Tori Amos
2.Susan's House - The Eels
3.Moonchild - Chris Cornell
4.Without you I'm Nothing - Placebo & David Bowie
5.Wooden Jesus - Temple of the Dog
6.Becoming X - Sneaker Pimps
7.Stay with You - Lemon Jelly
8.Eye for an Eye - U.N.K.L.E.
9.The Box - Orbital
10.Dirty Epic - Underworld
11.Hell is Round the Corner - Tricky
12.Where is Jack the Ripper? - Grooverider
13. At the Heart of it All - Nine inch Nails (Aphex Twin remix)
14.Brown Paper Bag - Roni Size
15.My Kingdom - The Future Sound of London _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

9- Boyz N the Hood; Dynamite Hack cover
10- Rude Mood; Stevie Ray Vaughan
11- I Come from the Water; Toadies

yeah, he's even more captivating this way. he's got a fantastic voice and like Vedder he's got this rare natural charisma. it was a magnificent moment when they both sang on "Hunger Strike", i wish they did more duets like that.
needless to say, my baby's also in love with Chris, and i can't say i blame her.

Good stuff, thanks for keeping my thread alive. Unfortunately I suck. I haven't listened to anyone's playlist. Aurelyn, yours would be especially hard for me to put together because I don't have any of your music, which means I'd have to do the whole illegal downloading thing. You're the only person except for myself I know who would have Alizee, The Pet Shop Boys, Sèzen Aksu and David Bowie on one playlist.
Actually, those exact songs (Su Saniye, It's a Sin, Moi Lolita and Ashes to Ashes) are on my current selection of songs I'm listening to...
It's almost scary there is another such person out there... _________________ The Justified Ancient of Mu Mu |
