Shit, I love chess. I think I'm pretty good, because all I do is challenge players on yahoo that I know are better than me, lose and sometimes win, and I think that's made me a gritty chess player. We should play sometime, somebody?

I also played Hockey for my House, which I mention because one of my PE teachers was a psycho ex-England international who thought he was playing ice hockey and steamrollered, tripped and checked any teenage boy unfortunate enough to be in his way. I was safer playing rugby. Although that same teacher once stamped on the outside of my knee during a scrum. He was a loony bastard.
Hm, since I shall soon be out of the country, it's gonna be difficult to keep up with the World Cup, I suspect.

Yah, totally missed it. But I gleaned what the result must have been when I caught Sky Sports News today, and they showed the tables. Now all England have to do is beat the suddenly decent Tonga for the privilege of losing to the Australians. Or not, if they pull their finger out.

Well, it's official. Ireland suck. I wouldn't mind if we'd played to the best of our ability, and still sucked. Much worse to actually have a good squad that decided not to play, while the bloody coach made some of the strangest selection decisions ever seen during the tournament. I supposed at least it's a small mercy that we are now spared the fate of going to Cardiff to play the All Blacks and losing by a hundred points.

Well, it was a great weekend for Northern Hemisphere rugby, with both Australia and New Zealand sent scurrying home with their tails between their legs. What a fantastic day - cheered myself hoarse for England against Australia while their pack absolutely crushed those loudmouth arrogant bastards (don't tell anyone), and then got do it all over again when France pulled out a heroic effort to beat the All Blacks by 2 points (France made 176 tackles to NZ's 35. Unreal.) South Africa nearly lost to Fiji today too.

Argentina Scotland on the other hand, was a turd of a match. God, nobody plays well against the Scots - it's like they drag you down to their level. Argentina not allowing any rugby to be played is getting a little frustrating to watch. Great semis still to be had though!
