Albums We Own

What collection of albums do you guys own?

They could include anything from records to tapes to CD's. But the thing is what hard-copy albums do you guys have? I'm not talking about albums you downloaded or burned onto a disk, they have to be on an original physical disk/tape/vinyl/whatever.

900-ish at last count. Definitely not gonna happen. (A lot of those are 12'' vinyl releases, to be fair). I think I was anal enough to do an inventory a few years back, though...

I'm somewhere in the 400+ section, but if we are to talk records, I'm old enough to have purchased 45s (and remember the Top 40 coming out weekly) and used an 8-track. As for (actual) albums I bought (wasn't much of a record fan), I had a few during my heavy metal-ish phase... Aerosmith's greatest hits; Dio, Sacred Heart; Iron Maiden, Powerslave and Live after Death. Oh yeah... I also had The Jazz Singer and a Kenny Rogers album from when I was 7.

I have Bob Marley Legend and Exodus. Can't leave those out. I'd say I'm only in the 200 range, but that's what's on me. I have 134 records back home.

I was angry one day, so I took my songs of Batman record and threw it across the room, lodging it in the wall. My folks were none to pleased!

that's it as far as original albums go. all purchased since last fall, when the funk bug brought me down overnight. it'd be twice as many if i'd count the downloaded/burned stuff in. i'd love to have everything original and legal, but you know, sometimes you gotta eat too.
