So, anybody waiting to see this movie? I'm a fan of Resident Evil games and the last two movies but I'm VERY sceptical about this one... The movie trailer didn't excite me. It was just a bit dull. While the first movie was placed underground and the second one inside a town with no way out it seems like they have run out of places and they have chosen Nevada just for fun. I don't get that claustrophobic feeling and I don't like it.
And what about Jill Valentine not being in this movie? I think it literally sucks. There are boring AlilaliLarter and Ashanti... Mike Epps doesn't really convince me either. Why an earth have they chosen them to ruin this flick?
What you think about writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson? Do you think he's hands work shows? Is there some similarities between AVP and ResEvil?

I liked the first two and I'm just going to watch this one for three reasons:
1) It's the third movie of the trilogy
2) It's got zombies.
3) It's got Leeloo Dallas Multipas...

I'm gonna watch it, but only because I feel there's an outside chance that they mightn't shag it up as badly as the first two. But possibly not, because I thought that AvP was the most disgracefully shite piece of film-making ever to piss all over a perfectly good comic series ever. EVER. Paul Anderson deserves to die horribly for his crimes.
But that's just my opinion..

I'd say Fifth Element, because it was ten times the movie that ResEvil was. And that's coming from a Resi fan. <sigh>, you just can't get the directors these days...

Yeah, he mostly produces stuff these days. I think he's got a few movies in the pipeline though. Most likely in French unfortunately.
