Here's a little rule I live by on these forums... if it takes me more than 5 seconds to come up with what I wanna post, it's not worthwhile. Unless ofcourse the post is gonna be quite long... and with quite long I mean more than 5 sentences.
Also I try to evaluate if my post really adds something to the conversation... if it doesn't, I don't post anything. Unless it's something I think is pretty funny.

Well, 99% of the time, it does have to do with the topic, but everybody else doesn't see how. But seriously, I take more than 5 seconds on how to post what I'm going to post.
More than five sentences is what I do with long posts. I actually do try to think some of that out, and it turns out not the way I planned. It's hard for me to explain, but you should know what I'm getting at...

Well, let me restate... if you thought about a reply, and then start typing it... and then delete all of that and start typing something else because you think that's better to reply... and do that again... it's not worth posting...
If at any time you doubt the fact that your post will give any significant value to the thread, be it informative or humorous, don't post it.

Yup, I think it's finally happened. Everyone's understandably a wee bit cautious about getting excited about it tho... We've an upcoming general election in the Republic, which will have a big influence on the new government in the North I'd say.

I just was thinking the same when the forum came back that it was a good to get rid of the posts of the persons-not-worth-to-mention. I was getting sick of this .................. and this ^-^. Hmmm. was there any other good threads that got lost? Can't remember.

You shouldn't really care what people think of you on a forum. A forum is not some popularity contest. It's a gathering of people who want to share their opinions.
Yes, there are some popular and unpopular people on forums. I would know. I'm the latter on many, probably including this one. But that doesn't mean you have to freak out and try to be one. Just continue posting in a civilzed and intellegent manor, and you'll be fine.
