Kobe is an asshole. We've all seen how he likes to elbow people in the face when they're blocking his shots or playing defense on him.

He does act like a jackass at times. But past conflicts hurt one's way of acting when they reach adulthood. Maybe being accused of the rape and almost losing his wife is that conflict.

Or maybe someone in his family is a bitch. Who knows.

There was an interesting article on ESPN.com yesterday where Phil Jackson said that the NBA is on a witch-hunt to persecute Kobe. Please. I wonder what Kobe's stats would be if the refs didn't give him star-treatment. He is a punk. What makes things worse is that people don't care. There were posts after the Jackson article where people complained that they paid all this $$ to see Kobe play at such-n-such arena and he got suspended and they wasted their money. If it were up to me, here is what I'd do. Kobe would arrive at the stadium 4 hours in advance. During those 4 hours all the refs, announcers and fans that want to fellate him, could line up and perform their deed. The fans get what they want and the refs could call a fair game because Kobe would have already been paid his "hommage". I apologize if there are any typos, too tired to check this morning.

The Jazz have a very difficult schedule ahead of them. They must face the fabled Golden State Warriors, the fearsome LA Clippers, and the equally impressive Memphis Grizzlies. Let's just hope the Jazz can take the heat and come out smelling like roses. . . Or a sweaty ballsack. . .

I don't know why I'm saying all this. Confused

There's a poll on the Utah Jazz' website that asks: Who will be our biggest factor in the Playoffs?

I don't know much about any of the players on the current team, but if this poll were to be taken 10 years earlier in the Stockton-Malone era, the results would be clear: 50/50 Malone/Stockton.

What's the big duo of any team in the NBA right now? I can't think of any. It seems like you can't count Shaq and Wade because Wade isn't always looking to dump the ball off to the big man when he cuts to the paint, like Stockton would. I'd say the best duo right now is Amare Stoudamire and Steven Nash.

The websites associated with alp mysteriously go down as the Jazz beat Houston... Bernie is a Houston fan... coincidence or is it simply T-Mac's fault? -- Just kidding -- we all know of Chuck Hayes was better at rebounding... *L*

I'm happy to say that the Jazz are still in the playoffs -- who's shocked? who's not? who, of the announcers, will get through an entire night without mispronouncing the players (e.g. DE-RON Williams, GorDAN GiraSECK)

The Jazz looked strong last night. Not enough shots of Jessica on the floor. AK47 is definately upping his game as are the rest of the Jazz. They look pretty strong and if they make it to the next round, they will likely put up a good fight -- not saying that they will definately beat either the Spurs or the Suns, but they did get a few wins during the regular season. Any thoughts?

Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, Tony Parker, Michael Finley= Unstoppable. Sorry Jazz fans and fanettes, the Spurs are going to sweep this series.

Since I'm immobile, I watched the game yesterday in my dad's bed with the tv moved onto my mom's dresser. I remember the announcer saying "playing against the Spurs is like playing against a bunch of old guys at the YMCA, and you just keep wondering how you keep losing." He also called the Spurs "scientific" whereas the Jazz... they lack the chemistry and teamwork of the Spurs altogether. The Jazz have scorers in almost everyone on the roster, but do they have chemistry and an unspoken brotherhood between them? ... maybe that's just the Vicodin talking.

I don't think it will be a sweep. All I ask for is equality. Why is it that both Duncan and Ginobeli (sp?) get to move both pivot feet and not get called for travelling? Why is it a foul just to look at Duncan? Watch the replays or Game 2 and lets hope for a game called on both sides.

Perhaps. It is a shame that they don't call fouls on the Spurs. I mean, seriously, how many times did they say the Jazz got "Hacked" and there was no call? How many times does Duncan get to lower the shoulder, bump the Jazz, and get 2 shots? How many times does Manu get to drop a moving screen and have an offensive fould called? Offensive. Good use of the word.

I generally don't blame the refs, but from the sound of things all this could be very true.

I lost two bets on the Liverpool - AC Milan matchup. I bet on Liverpool, with a bonus if someone guessed the correct score. I lost 70$. I based my prediction on the fact that the youngblood of Liverpool would play harder than the old farts on AC Milan, but I was proved wrong.

I lost an hour and a half of my life I'm never getting back on the Liverpool - AC Milan match up. Liverpool were shite, Milan should have taken them to bits, but instead were almost, but not quite, as shite. Booooooring.

Well, it's the end of the season for the Jazz. Unfortunately, they will not advance past the Western Conference Finals. It was a good year for the team though, they made it pretty far after going 42-42 last year.

indeed...

I'm rooting for the Cavs. I like the Spurs, mainly because Tim Duncan is such a big cuddly center with the eye of the tiger, and Manu Ginobli is like an angel when blood's pouring down his face, but I think it's time Jordan 2 wins a Championship.

Understanding that he needs to be in a place to receive care for his daughter, I know I am in the majority when I say I will be sad to see Derek Fisher leave the Jazz. He is a great player and surely will benefit whatever team in NY area (?) signs him.

Resurrection!

I'm gonna consider this a general NBA thread instead of just Utah.

So, I'm watching the Mavs/Spurs game and damn. Harris is really fast.

I don't know, either, but I usually don't watch anything eastern conference since the pace of the games seem to be slower. And then I get bored.

I don't think he's been around since his post about taking 'shrooms and his bad experience with them.
