This movie looks awesome. The Battle of Thermopylae brought to us by a book, and the trailers are astounding, with the sky being blotched out by arrows and 20 some Spartans do their shield thing, then bust loose and do that whole anime "break the crowd" jump and pwn uncountable persians, then back about a half a battalion over a cliff, this movie will be one to see when it comes out... _________________

Yes, it looks like an excellent movie. Can't wait to see the Spartans in battle. _________________

Hm, I thought we had a thread on this already. Anyway, it looks like a cool movie which will be greatly lacking in historical accuracy. _________________ Context is everything. |

I just watched it last night, and I have to say this movie was way underhyped, never has there been a better mans movie (or a movie that made you look at your stick arms and want to go to the gym). The number of flying limbs couldnt be counted on the hands of every forum member here, and the dramatic overuse of slow-mo made everything look really cool. If i were a critic, I'd give this movie a 5/5 \, but I'm not, so I'll just go tell you to see it. _________________

I'm seeing it this month. I can't wait. And did you know that over half of those guy's spartan-bodies aren't even digitally modified? They're real. That's what amazes me. I thought most of last centurie's and this century's people were fat.

There are actually people out there who just need to maintain their bodies like that to sustain an income.
The same people who are used as "beachpeople" in movies. _________________ Back in action |

I sure wish that somebody would pay me to be in movies and go to the gym. Instead, working on my career is making it hard for me to go to the gym. Grr....
Also, the movie was pretty good. _________________ Context is everything. |

I'll take care of that when I finally set up my own computer, which will probably be after the semester is over. I have been using my girlfriend's computer ever since I moved in. I suppose that I could just take another pic and upload it from this puter.

| Went with the wife and saw this movie. It was ok. I mean, I can't say I was expecting much. Truth be told, this movie was nothing more than Lord of the Rings meets Gladiator. It even had the actor playing Faromir and the field of wheat that signifies death in Gladiator. Sure there were battles, but you have to hand it to the cgi people -- I had never seen blood clot in mid air. |

I went to see it opening day. We were at the point where the Persians were taking heavy losses as the Spartans were taking them on from the gorge, the first attack of the movie. It was brutal and beautiful. Then a fire alarm in the theatre made us leave. A sprinkler pipe somewhere in the building that houses the theatre burst. The fire department couldn't reset the alarm until the pipe was repaired, so I had to settle for a free pass to the theatre. Every person in that theatre was pissed beyond belief.
Now I have to wait until next Friday to see it. Fuckers. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

And oddly, the soldiers never actually got wet in blood until the aftermaths of the battle.

| Damn Smiley. If that happened to me in Spidey 3, I'd piss myself strangling trying to strangle the soundwaves while fending off the 911 guys who are trying to drive me to sanity in the family-guy-type predicament. |

I would explode every moment I miss the opening show of Spider man 3. I will... It happened to me twice on the first movie. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

Same here, I would have to kick some firefighter ass if that happened when I watch Spider Man 3. I would fight to the end of the movie. _________________

The fire alarm sent the projectors into automatic shutdown. There was no option to see the rest of the movie. The theatre told us we could stick around until the alarm was reset and see the movie again from the beginning, but after forty minutes of sitting on my ass, drinking my trough of soda, I had to leave. I had stuff to do.
I will see it in two days. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

I'm serious. That movie has my second-favorite Marvel character of all time in it fighting my first favorite Marvel character. It will be hell if I have to leave while sitting on my ass for 40 minutes drinking soda. Like... what the fuck. I'll be, "WHAT THE FUCK!!!" and that stuff. I'll piss myself while punching numerous fire-fighters.
And then I'd visit the cinema again the next week hoping that I don't have to go to the bathroom during the fight scenes with Nightsurfer, Sandman and Venom. |

Boobs, flying limbs, and slowmo action scenes, does it get any manlier? (more manly, grammar?) _________________
