| That's part of the problem. Nobody knows much about the Jazz even though they have 3 all star caliber players. In fact, can you name a top three team that doesn't have a "superstar"? Only the Jazz. Yes, I know Arenas beat them the last time. The last three games, for the jazz, have also been odd -- lose to Memphis, beat Denver, lose to NO/oklahoma. |

Oh yeah, it's 2007. People who don't follow a team or the nba (foreigners and most women) should know that the season transcends the New Year. _________________ "Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein |

| Good point. I should have simply left the title as Utah Jazz or put 2006-7. I think the Jazz play NJ tonight. I'm thinking of getting tickets just to see if Jason Kidd's wife shows. THAT would be worth the price of admission. The Jazz could probably use any sort of distraction they can get out of Kidd after a woeful loss to NO... |

| I hate Vince Carter. I hat his talent, I hate his skills and I hate the way he sinks the 3 with 1.5 seconds left... Yes, NJ beat the Jazz last night. |

| *sigh* Sometimes there is no stopping a superstar. Even if the "double team" the Jazz provided did pony up to Vince, he was in a zone. Some players have that much talent and all you can do is watch. |

| Last night the Jazz beat the Spurs... without Carlos Boozer. Boozer is likely out for the next 6 weeks due to a hairline fracture of the... fibia (I think). The bench played some really strong minutes. In other news, I'm glad Kobe was suspended for a game. Anyone who saw the footage would agree, when attempting a jumpshot your right arm doesn't "suddenly" slap to the right -- with enough force to cause a black eye -- after releasing the ball. Kobe was simply embarrassed. Embarrassed that his shot was being blocked. Get over it, Kobe and play the game. Isn't it enough that you get 15 fouls (minimum) called in your favor, every game? |

The Jazz just beat the Suns 108-105. An excellent game. It was a good thing that the Suns didn't get their free throws in and the Jazz just broke the tie during the last minute of the game. Jazz pwn! _________________

AGAIN! It is the mystique of the Jazz. They lose to the bobcats or NJ and come back and beat, not only San Antonio, but also the Suns (who were healthy!)! In fact, this season the Suns have lost 10 games -- three of which were against the Jazz. What makes these recent wins so notable, is that they are coming without Carlos Boozer who IS an All Star this season.
Mehmet Okur SHOULD have been an All Star this year. Briefly, he won a championship with Detroit and the Jazz signed him during free agency maybe 2 (or so) years ago. He is from Turkey (his wife a former Ms Turkey pagent winner) and has got mad skillz with the 3-ball (the Utah telecast refers to it as the "Money Ball"). I'm not sure he was a starter with Detroit, but he certainly deserves to start on most teams. His game has been improving because he has been strong taking it in the paint. Last season he was more of a jump shooter, but his game and his ppg have improved with a little more strength. |

| I feel the need to mention that the Jazz just won their 40th game. Not that I want to jinx them or anything. They got coverage on ESPN last night when they played the hornets. Sure, they started out like crap, but then they really came together and played well. If only... announcers NOT from Utah could correctly pronouce the players names. It is "GorDON Gira-CHECK" Nor "Gordan Gira-SECK". Also, to the All Star game announcers, it is pronouced "Dare-in" not "DEE-Ron". Likewise, our backup center is JARRON Collins, not his twin brother "Jason". |

Utah Jazz are a nice team. I can't say that they're my favorite, and that I liked what has happened to them in the years, but overall pretty good team.
By the way, I'm a Rockets fan. Heheh. |

go Rockets!
there ain't never gonna be moments like when Hakeem Olajuwon won back-to-back titles for Rockets in 94 and 95, totally pwning that clown Shaq.
this was the most thrill i ever got from watching any sports event.
good times. _________________ i have no time for anal love

Those seasons, Shaq was like the best center ever, and he was still a rookie. You'd know he was a rookie because he's in shape and he has that haircut with the little shaved line going up the side of his head. I think he posted a triple-double that season. _________________ "Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein |

still... he got pwnt and burnt by The Dream.
they swept the series, that means something.
in the last minute of the 4th game when it was obvious they got the title, Hakeem went to the far corner of the court and shot a beautiful 3-pointer.
it was the most ultimate declaration of "i own you" i've ever seen in sports.
man, thanks for bringing those memories back for me.
edit: of course, Clyde The Glide contributed vastly, as did the rest of the team, but no one could deny who the MVP was. _________________ i have no time for anal love

| I'm not sure if I'd rather see the Jazz face the Lakers or the Rockets. I'm not so confident that the Rockets are out of it this year. If T-Mac and Yao are healthy... they are a tough team to beat. Thankfully, the Jazz are playing a lot of sub .500 teams. Hopefully, they'll keep the winning going. |
