At school we mainly use Linux computers, and trust me, I crashed it more than my own Windows computer...

The only thing I hate at Linux is that I can't find suitable game for it. Why don't you install windows at your school computer, on a different partition?

Aramor, probably you school admin sucks, that's why...

Maybe your admin heard that linux is fast and stable even in 486s and installed the last version with the whole GUIs... in a 1gb hard drive

Or maybe he thought linux is more secure and thought that it would be even more secure if everybody have root privileges...

Or maybe he thought the computer labeled as server was his personal computer, since he serves to the school as a teacher, and he tuned it off after checking his mails...
