Hells yeah she is.
If a xenomorph can survive the harshness of space, then she can definetly survive some pansy-ass ocean. And what's more, she'll eventually break free, assuming those chains she's tied with can rust. _________________ I'm outtie, y'all. Lates. |

Of course, as someone stated earlier, the conditions in the ocean are drastically different from space.
For one, pressure. Intense crush vs vaccum. VERY DIFFERENT.
Also we never see the xenomorph survive the harshness fo space actually (hwo can people believe this?), just flail around in what would be mroe accurate as death throws. _________________

| The queen is alive or else how can the makers of the movie rape the franchise for more money without a queen. |

Well it is hard to put a solid argument against, isn't it? Money Makes Magic happen in Movies.
Hell, the promise of a few more gazillion hard earned nerd dollars could very easily produce a FOURTH part in the LOTR trilogy. Money also makes that make sense.
The fourth part will have Sauron returning more powerful than ever, threatening to, yet again, enslave/destroy all of Middle-Earth in a fiery blaze of... fire. Frodo and Samwise will be adventuring along with a tall, muscular, actiony human type with a stubble, a bad attitude and enough one-liners to make Duke Nukem bow his head in shame and puke into his mouth just a little bit.
There will also be either a very small pixie-like, or a tall lanky comic relief character, with a speech impediment. He'll provide slapstick humor and crack jokes that very thinly veiled pop culture references. He won't be of any of the already established species' in the Tolkienite world, but just something the director came up with.
They will also find a Pepsi ad-board somewhere and think of it as a relic from a long forgotten past. _________________ bitchez n hose |

IS SHE ALIVE???? |
I believe she is both. Somehow, somewhere, sometime, cloning will bring her back. But she will nevertheless die underthere. Too much pressure _________________ I AM EMO AND BORED!!!!

1. Flesh tears, it doesn't break.
2. There are such types of ammunition as Armour piercing.
3. Pressure depends on depth, since the incident took place near land the water there can't be more then a few hundred meters deep ergo not that much pressure. _________________

Hopefully dead as a doornail. That Queen was ridiculous.
Firstly the re-design was un-nessecary,if it ain,t broke don,t fix it.
Secondly it looked like it was jogging,i was looking to see if it was wearing
Nike runners. Thirdly the way it was released was a hoax,it would have
gravely melted its exo-skeleton from the inside out....Mistake no. 1854998
Hopefully its sunk to the bottom of the harbour where it belongs, along with
these cheesy new alien warriors.......grrrrrr.
Incidently, that scene were the queen sinks into the depths was a bad rip
off of James Camerons Queen spinning into the depths of space,Anderson
even put little sparkles in the water to mimic stars....just one of the many
'spot the rip-off' scenes in that turd of a film.
......''They must have wanted it for the bio-weapons division...Ash..
he,s been protecting it all along''...... |

To have an answer to the pressure problem:
for am object to collapse under heavy pressure oxygen or other gases are needed for the object to implode. Because we (or at least I) doesn't know how may % of gases a queen contains. i cannot give you a correct answer, but heres a hint.
It can be compared to a Submarine:
both have a "exoskeleton"
submarines contain a massive lvl. of air.
Thats what limits them of going too deep whit out having serious adjustment to the hull.
The queen contains a medium amount of air (she is a fast runner, and try to make a statue swim... ) but then again, she is HEAVY! so there is NOT much, but a little air inside her body.
when it comes to swimming, a certain amount of oxygen i human blood makes us float... compare this to the queen. she can swim.. (or at least other Xenos can so therefore she must contain a small amount of oxygen.)
Her cells also needs a gas of some sort, in order to survive.
i would say she contains about 10-15% air
pressure meter
below 250m:
over 20%: BOOM!
between 5- 20: possibly minor implodes, and failures to the exoskeleton
but under 5% , possibly no damage at all.
possible conclusion:
she would survive, but have serious injury...
thank you for your time, Class dismissed. _________________

All xenomorph can withstand a great deal of pressure. If you read comic books, you'll know they can withstand the vacuum of space... Also in the first Alien, there was no air on later named "LV426" and the eggs survived that long, who knew where the actual aliens were...
But whats weird is that in Aliens, the Queen was breathing. I suppose they have the ability to adapt with or without air.
I say she's alive. So is the one that blew out the air lock; from Aliens. _________________

It all depends on the depth of wich she sunk, her physical structure and it's ability to withstand pressure, the need of oxygen once awake (note, you can freeze a scorpion, and unfreeze it and it'll be alive again. However, you CAN drown a scorpion.), her swimming ability, and, of course, the fact wether she will or will not be in the (a?) sequeal.
and somebody correct my sequeal, I forgot how to spell it ( <---not British/american) |
