Meh. Really old news if you're a member of AVP2. But trust me. It has a high chance to be sucky, even more than AVP itself. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have a high chance of being the savior of the series - Predators based on the two originals, mentions of the Dog Alien and Warrior as well as the Queen/Empress and the original design of the Drone, some new location shootings, etc.
But cons...
One main scene may have to do with the final showdown...
...happening in Wal-mart. Believe me, this is all true (and you wouldn't question me about this) if you're a member of AVP2. Nontheless, I'm looking forward to AVP2, even with my [many] doubts. |

It's almost guaranteed to suck.
9 in every 10 sequels suck or not quite as good as thier predecessors.
Pirates 3 and Spiderman 3 are coming out 2007, so it seems AvP will be cast down into the pit along with Ocean's Thirteen, and Forgettable Four 2. Yes thsoe last two are in production. Sorry I don't have a tissue. _________________

It has been my experience that third films some times do not suck as bad as second films, and may even rival first films.
So Pirates 3, Spiderman 3, and Ocean's 13 may not be as bad as the seconde films in the series.
And I liked Pirates 2.
I haven't seen any of the Ocean's movies, and I won't see the upcoming one, so I could give a shit whether it sucks or not.
And, sacriligious as it may be, considering where I am posting, I have never seen AVP 1. I have seen all the separate Alien and Predator movies, but I have no plans to ever see any of the hybrids. To me, it is kind of like Freddy vs. Jason, a Frankenstein's bastard child with no real excuse for existing except for dollar signs in the eyes of heartless (hahaha Aramor!!!) studio zomboid executives.
Fantastic Four is also on my not-to-see list, so I could give a shit whether a sequel is made to that movie as well.
Damn, it must be 1:20 AM, and I must be in too much pain to sleep. Crap, what a rambling asshole. _________________

Unless you're talking about The Terminator series. I'm not saying I don't like T3, but I definitely think T2 is waaaaaay better. Then again, T2 is one of my favourite movies...

The first one was cool, the second one was mostly confusing and chaotic... I didn't really like it. If you're ever thinking of renting them, just rent Ocean's Eleven.

OMFG, I had blocked T3 out of my mind. That has to be the worst movie I have ever seen that wasn't intentional camp.
It would take me, like, an hour to list all the things about that movie that utterly sucked. That were utterly stupid. That were illogical, impossible, inane.
Stop!
OK, I am better now.
I have to run over to the worst movie thread and make a post. _________________

| This made me realise that DVD sequels may be better than theatre sequels in some ways. |

Except for the Star Wars prequel trilogy (3 was better than 2, you can't deny that.) and the Indiana Jones trilogy.
Yes, Pirates 2 was good. Those who didn't get it the first time 'round should go see it again. Trust me, it will make alot more sense.
Regarding Flabby Four, when it comes out, there's going to be FF4 crap everywhere. Films, fast food, movies theatres. Trust me, the pain extends beyond the silver screen.

I have been reading and watching science fiction for half again as long as you have been alive, you heartless skull-fucker.
I have read at least 5000 science fiction novels, and seen the vast majority of science fiction movies.
Don't try to school me on science fiction, punk. _________________

Yeah, you got a point.
Plus, the Terminator movies aren't the kind of science-fiction movies where you can blame mistakes like the one you mean on the fact that the movie is sf.
You can only do that with 100% SF movies, where they create an entire non-existing world, along with its creatures and such, such as Riddick's world, FF:SW, that cartoon where they created a new Earth at the end... etc.
Anyhoo, before anybody starts yelling at me that for instance Pitch Black is not a 100% SF, that's just the way I see it. It's my personal opinion. _________________

What's your favorite book, I'm kind of a sci-fi buff too (get it from my dad)?

Aramor...OMG you think of everything.anyhow AVP2,i dont have much to say about it.i could wait for the trailer to come out....but trailers seem to hide the fact that the movie "skcus" (well not all...but some)
we will just have to wait and see if it does better than AVP.
p/s: cant they just make it a movie with aliens and predators. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

Most of the time... sometimes a remark just pops in my head, and I post it... but sometimes I spend nights of research on how to make my post... perfect...
Not that I ever gave a post that much thought on this forum though... _________________
