Bah, Elmo is a Johnny-come-lately. He has only been there for a decade or so.

The Count is hard to beat, and The Cookie Monster is a model for my life.

But Oscar the Grouch is a veritable muppet deity. He pwns all the rest.

yeah, Muppet Show pwnz Sesame Street, can't deny that.
isn't it simply the larger case of British humour pwning American humour? well, maybe it's just that Sesame St. is educational and thus kiddo-oriented, whereas Muppets were more into absurd comedy.

Sesame is a little too educational, so it's laugh value is nowhere near that of Muppet's. I had no idea Muppet's was British. Learn something new, but not necessarily important, every day.
