Oh I've got that film, its SO INCREDIBLY cool! Extremely well done for a fan movie, in just about all aspects it looks professional. They had a budget of about 30,000 dollars too I think? There is a special behind the scenes video where you see them work. Its so incredible, I loved this short film! Two thumbs way up!
The video is available on YouTube, and on ifilm:
http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2474406?htv=12
The movie and featurette are available for download off theForce.net:
http://www.theforce.net/fanfilms/nonsw/batman_deadend/index.asp
Check it out, its one of the best things on the internet. _________________

Yea, saw that one a while ago. Its very well done for a fan film. Its too bad it ends on such a cliff-hanger. _________________ Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes.....that way, when you do criticise him, you'll be a mile away and have his shoes.

My favorite part is The Joker. That portrayal seems more believable than Nicholson, and much more sinister and creepy.
Very well done.
And I don't see the ending as a cliff-hanger. I see it more as done-fell-offa-the-cliff-and-just-about-to-a-splat. _________________

yes, Joker was surprisingly convincing. the laugh, the eyes, the voice - it really was getting exciting.
but then Aramor had to butt in and everything went apeshit _________________ i have no time for anal love

God damn that was cool. Getting caught in the crossfire of a war between Aliens and Predators was a great movie (AVP), but godamn that one didn't have Batman. _________________ "Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein |

That was actually Sister #2154878... yeah...
But it's awesome. I've see it before though, but it's still awesome. It would've been really cool if the Pred's Wristblade would extend another time, like in AvP... _________________

No it didn't. Also, I noticed the subtle compliment of the AvP movie. I just got done watching it. God, I love that movie. Not sure why people are so hard on it.
I saw Batman: Dead End a LONG time ago and while I watched it I kept thinking, "What the hell? Is this a real movie? How the heck did I miss it?" I definately think it is well made. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

Because, if you're a long-die-hard-fan-"mcholyshit, this franchise is awsome!'-person like me, you'de realize how many mistakes and sh*t were put into it. But overall, I think it was well done for the first official AVP movie. |

Isn't the time setting of Predator contemporary?
And isn't the time setting of Alien et al hundreds, if not thousands of years in the future?
*sigh*
Whatever.

I firts saw "Batman - Dead End" over two years ago. It still thrills me every time I watch it. The mood, the lighting, the camera angles, the authenticity, it all works so well.
The same guys who did this one also did "World's Finest," a fake trailer for a Superman/Batman team up movie. It's not too shabby. Same guy plays Batman in that one. http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2645491?loomia_si=1 _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

Officially, Alien takes place in 2122.
Aliens and Alien 3 in 2179.
Alien 4 in 2381.

Thank you for the details Simon_Says.
So, when they mix the two universes to make AVP, we have jumped forwards from the two predator movies? To which point? It would have to be at least until the third movie, right?
I ask merely for information.
------------------------
My previous post was a scoff at the mixed universes. I mean, let's add Monty Python and the Holy Grail, while we are at it. And maybe the Matrix.
But why stop there?
Alien Versus Predator Whilst Brave Sir Robin Bravely Runs Away to the Matrix with Gidget on the Terror Train as the Highlander Dirty Dances to the Sound of Music
Edit: To rectify the implied impugning of Brave Sir Robin's Bravery, in the sense that he is Brave, and that every action he takes simply exudes Bravery, in a Brave way, and to remind the studio audience, that in no way is anything Brave Sir Robin Bravely does in a Brave way short of the Bravest Bravery that any Brave man (or woman) would Bravely exhibit, with extreme Bravery. _________________

I think AvP was set in 2004...

The AVP film was set in 2004.
The games are set about 50 years after Aliens and Alien 3 (i.e. 2229) (however this conflicts with the general's statement in Alien 4 saying that Ripley effectively wiped out the species (or at least the only known group of them)).
And it would be "Whilst Brave Sir Robin Bravely Runs Away..." _________________

Well, I would have thought killer rabbits would be implicit with Brave Sir Robin's Bravery being included. And that therefore I could only subtract killer rabbits. Especially with the Terror Train reference.
Now, I would have had to add killer robots...
I think that terminates this discussion.

Killer Voltron > Killer Robots.
And in regards to direct post-linking.
On the top of the post, on the right of your alias and left of your buttons, you will see somthing lika so:
" Posted: Sun Sep 10, 2006 9:57 pm Post subject:"
The date of course will be whenever that post was originally made. Of concern is that " " image. That contains the link and code neccesary for direct post-linking. In Internet Explorer, use "Copy Shortcut" in the right-click menu. for Firefox, "Copy Link Location." There should be equivilents in other internet browsers as well. Now that you've copied your link, simply drop it in a url tag in your post and your direct-to-post link is made. Note that the link locations are different in IE and Firefox, but they should function the same in both. _________________
