People were not submitting pictures and/or Bernie did not have the time to keep up with it.

Bernie modded it himself. It used the phpbb software.

He took advantage of some promotional site...I think it was GE...they had some sort of promotion where you can draw on this flash "marker board". The thing that made it interesting is that it only gave you a limited amount of ink. It then allowed you to mail it to whomever you choose, and of course, we mailed it to Bernie.

I don't know if that site still exists. If it doesn't, you can always set up an oekaki board, and it does the same thing.

In fact, you can probably skip the modding and just download the oekaki. I know someone made a bridge to link the phpbb user database with that of a oekaki "poteto". That way the entire oekaki board can be a WTFDSJD board.
