Lol, no one responds.
Sweet trailer. Nice and vague like so many of Bungie's other pre-game work.
"I've defied the gods and demons."
Apparently she has gone rampant and is overriding her own security measures, as such she is able to 'defy'. But whom did she defy? Apparently humanity's grip over her, the Covenant concider humanity to be demons, whilst ironically it's apparent humanity was linked to the forerunner in some way, as such they should be Gods.
Or she could just mean the Flood and the Forerunner, good enough.
"I am your shield, I am your sword."
Cortana seems to know what is going to happen, and knows that she is humanity's only weapon and defence for survival. Easy to figure out.
"I know you, your past, your future."
Well, she seems to know somthing we don't. Maybe she's discovered humanity's link with the forerunner? Maybe?
"This is how the world ends."
Either she's talking about howt he halo installations are about to finally go, or it's simply the end fo the world as we know it. It's a pretty obvious allusion to the Cortana Letters.[/url] _________________

@Mango: Someday I hope to go to E3. Is it in fixed location every year, or do they move it?
Also, when asked if this was the last halo game, they simply replied, "this is the last of this story arc" (Ha ha, Arc/Ark...)
Maybe someday there will be a game that takes place in the halo universe, but isn't a FPS that stars MC.
@Simon: That is definitely one possible storyline... Also, I know people have noticed this already but... Anyone notice that the covenant were completely ignoring MC? He didn't even look threatened. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

E3 is always in the LA Convention cneter. And I read at Bungie, that this is the final Halo game. But I wouldn't bet on it. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

Would you pay attention to some 7-foot primate when next door there's this big honking alien fire-works machine?
Didn't think so. _________________

Good point. He IS the demon, though. I'm sure they've noticed that he has a tendency to screw stuff up for them. Actually though, what I was thinking was that perhaps those weren't enemy covenant. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

The Covenant was to distracted at the Forerunner artifact to notice Master Chief. Even if they did see him, locating the artifact was likely to be much more important than killing their Demon.
Even Eilte commanded capital ships were probably going to fire on MC, just because of the split, it doesn't quite settle their differences. The Arbiter learned the truth about the Halos, but he still was'nt too happy about working with the humans, especially their greatest enemy. Remember the levels: Gravemind and High Charity, that's when the Elites split from the Covenant, but they would still fire on you, along with the Grunts and Hunters. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

hypothetically, would I be beaten horribly to hypothetical death if I say that i thought the HALOs were kind of generic and not as good as they were hyped up to be? _________________ Fear me! I'm scary! |

No game could ever be as good as Halo 2 was hyped to be. Said hyping got way out of control there. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

Actually I just discovered that there's a pretty interestting theory made by a certain Tony Ogmundson (last one on the page) that basically states that Cortana and 343 are actually covering up the truth about the halos (which are indeed used to bring about the great journey), in order so that they won't be stuck behind whilst humanity goes off to paradise never to return, and they'd be left as watchdogs for the rest of eternity.
I find it pretty convincing. _________________

Nope, not fan-cictin, actual speculation into the backstory of the halo-verse and upcoming plot of Halo 3. _________________

If it were posted by one of the guys from Bungie, I'd believe it, unless it were something ridiculous, like what Frankie would put.
It is fan-fiction, I actually submitted something myself on that exact site too. But it does'nt get posted unless it really does make you think. Obviosly mine was not relevant enough. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.
