What games do you think had the best music? I know for a fact that some games had great music, some even good enough for the Grammys, *cough* Final Fantasy*cough*

| Definitely Final Fantasy VI through X. Plus FFI. Personelly, I think FFIX is underrated due to the fact that most US fans started with VII, and think that IX totally switched which isn't damn true. Anyway, again personelly, I think the battle theme from FFIX is the most catchy. |

I thought that resident evil had some great atmosphere music. Its like...you know something is about to happen, lol. Devil May Cry had some great music and so did Tekken. I still listen to the music from Tekken 2 because of the really great level music. Kazuya and Yoshimitsu had like the best songs. ^_^ I'm having some nostalgia! _________________

I like listening to music from video-games occasionally... Don't call me crazy, I may be, but sometimes I listen to them in my sleep.
Any Starwars game
Final Fantasy I,IV,VI,VII,VIII,IX,X, Durge of Cerberus (Mostly the battle themes, eh...)
Halo 1 & 2
Any Resident Evil game
Super Mario 64, Party 6, 7, the New Super Mario Bros.
Pokemon Emerald (Battle theme regular, Elite Four, and Team Aqua/Magma, and Rayquaza damnit. Yeah, I would know)
Sonic Adventure 1, 2, Sonic Heroes, Shadow TH, the classic Sonic games
The Drink Pepsi man theme (seriously, it's a classic PS1 game)
Some Mortal Kombat games
Some Soul Calibur games
Some Godzilla games (I like the ones in DAM:Melee and Save the Earth)
The early Delta Force games as well as Land Warrior
So what if I've listened to that on my iPOD? |

Morrowind (Jeremy Soule)
Guild Wars (Jeremy Soule)
Starcraft (The Human Pieces)
Warcraft 3 (Dereck Duke, Jason Hayes, Tracey W. Bush, & Gleen Stafford)
World of Warcraft (See Warcraft 3)
I haven't actually heard any Final Fantasy Music at all. Yeah, shunn me. _________________

| Mm, really? I saw the trailer, but I don't remember how the music sounded. Unless what I saw was a fan clip. |

Dang! That's what I forgot! KH's music was pretty good, and the Destiny Islands theme had me going for a while... And that Pacman level-starting theme was pretty catchy. Actually, here:
ANY Square-Enix/Square-Soft game (except Final Fantasy III... What's up with that?) |

You're talking about FF3 japan, not FF3 US/FF6 Japan, right?
I honestly think Uematsu peaked at 6J/3US. You can hear much of 6J/3US even in later games... like the similarity between Celes' theme and Aeris' theme. _________________ The official MILF-masta of the AlP forums.

Yeah. And unless I'm missing something here (Or forgot), isn't Aeris in FF7?
EDIT: Nevermind, I know what you're talking about now. |

| What? So how am I an outcaste? Final Fantasy VII is one game I remember the most. It's my second favorite game in the series. I remember that she's in there, I was being sarcastic. So I guess I don't deserve to have Cloud in that little avatar space, I'll put in Kurt Cobain, Chamillionaire, even Bugs Bunny, but whatever... I changed my name to -(Bloo)- anyway. I'll change my avatar soon enough. I guess I'll change that little comment as well... "Every Square-Soft/Square-Enix game except Final Fantasy VII and FFIII", I didn't really like its boss theme anyway. |

The original Tetris tune, or whatever it's real name is. I'd play for hours and hours, just listening to it.
I feel ignorant, though. Does anyone remember the actual name?
Also, Megaman 2, especially Wily's theme.
And, for the mandatory obscure game reference, Mace: The Dark Age for the n64. Sure, it takes the age old generic heavy metal path, but it's very good generic heavy metal. _________________ bitchez n hose |

Just and obligatory plug, I hope everyone who posted in this thread knows about www.ocremix.org
Unsurprisingly, the most remixed games are Mega Man 2, FF6, and FF7.
Still, some of the punch-out!! mixes are really freaking sweet. _________________ The official MILF-masta of the AlP forums.
