I'll go with my faves based on how many mp3s I have by the bands:
The Police/Sting - Combined total of songs between mp3 & CD (mostly CD): 149
Green Day (118)
Foo Fighters (67 + 2 albums on CD)
Richard Cheese (67)
Blood Hound Gang (27)
Special Mention: Weird Al - okay, very few mp3s, just the Dare to be Stupid album. But I own everything he's put out, including the extremely rare Peter & the Wolf.

No one has listed Tom Waits. That's kinda scary.
And the David Bs, Bowie and Byrne.

as for the classic guys my gurus are:
Frank Zappa
Bob Dylan
Tom Waits indeed
David Bowie
Lou Reed
and John Lennon, including solo years by all means.

what can we say? love can make you blind...
luckily, it is only on the last two records that Yoko started singing in his songs, and these were not among his best compositions anyway.
but yes, it IS unlistenable.
