I'm surprised no one has started this yet.

Post characters that have started in video games.Don't do anyone like Darth Vader just because he's in some games, he was first in a movie (and if you don't know what movie he's in, OMG, do you like live in a fucking rock?!).
But it is okay to someone like the Doom Dude, even though he's in a movie, he was first created in a game.

my favorite Video Game character is Dante from Devil May Cry. He's soooo bad ass and I loved him from the first time I played DMC.

both from San Andreas. hell, this game has dozens of cool characters.

and Visas Marr, the Miraluka sith/jedi from KOTOR2 - i can't even put my finger on it, but there was something fascinating about her...

Also Blizzard announced that Pandaren are not the next playable race in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade, that honor goes to the non-demonic faction of eredar race, the Draenei, despite my deepest hopes it would be pandaren.

Sorry people, the Panda Shogun will not be kicking-ass and getting wasted in Azeroth's taverns... yet.

The Boss/ Joy : Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (Personally, I think she is one of the most interesting characters ever in a video game)

Oh, and it hurts me to see that not ONE person has mentioned Minsc, the true humor behind the miniature giant space hamster known as Boo. HK-47 is cool too, but only in KoToR, there was something odd about his voice in KoToR2 that just made him a bit less cool...
