That isn't really blatent PORN so much as... Well, a reference to sex. Yeah, so of those are kinda messed up, but Giger is KNOWN for disturbing images. Seeing a cyborg being connected to a robot in a sexual manner isn't any less disturbing, but this came BEFORE alien or predator. The one with the penis head( I'm sorry, that just sounds funny... )INSPIRED the original alien design. Now, the whole Necronom thing was MEANT to be messed up. Alien and Predators were NEVER meant to have sex, and those pictures really don't have the same kinda creativity that Giger brought to the table. Its not that it is any LESS messed up, its just that one is supposed to be messed up and the other isn't. The reason people are getting freaked out about the alien/predator slash is because it is kinda mocking alien and predator. Not saying that was the artist's intent, that's just what it SEEMS like to a lot of people. Plus, at least Giger put some freaking SHADOWS for God's sake, I really don't wanna know what a pred's dick looks like...

Wow, everyone acts like they've never seen a dick before.
It really seems to me that many people are having a fit due to the fact that the pred and the alien are having homosexual relations. Would there really be so much of an uproar if we saw a penis on one and a vulva on the other? I think not.
Yes, nothing in the current mythos of the pred/bug universe suggests that the two species would be likely to engage in coitus, even if they were physically compatible (which they most likely are not). But it seems that people are overreacting to this a bit. Were you not waned before you clicked on the link?

Yeah, me to. Amusing, I mean, not schlong. It was kind of funny. I don't have any problem with teh gay, but it is really weird. I can totally see the idea of hunters maybe amusing themselves while there aren't any females around, seeing as how they spend a lot of time away from home, like the Spartans mentioned earlier, but not going head-to-head so to speak with aliens. I think that just don't work. In the end (haha) it's just funny cartoon porn.

I kind of appreciate the fact that only Aramor is sticking by his initial reaction to the pics. As soon as somebody stood up and said "why is this wrong?" everyone else backed down and tried to re-write their opinion. Nobody wants to be vilified for their "politically incorrect" opinion.
Just found it amusing and had to comment. |

This argument is based on the premise that anal sex (or more likely homosexual male anal sex) is inherently demeaning. If that is Aramor's opinion, so be it. But to claim that the pics are demeaning is just silly. You do remember that we are dealing with two fictional species, right? I highly doubt that the yautja and the xenos have taken grave umbrage at these images.
Furthermore, this is just an expression of one person's artistic vision. It's not as if the artist is attempting to redefine the mythos and say, "I think that preds and xenos secretly love to cornhole one another."

I do wonder if I would still think it's demeaning if it wasn't the homosexual form of intercourse. Anyhoo, things are as real as you want them to be. If you have a certain idea of something, in this case fictional characters, you'll try to defend them if you believe hard enough in them. And in my fucked-up little life, some imaginary things to hold on to are very welcome. So therefore I defend fictional characters.

I see that now too. I can't speak for everybody, but for me, the whole "Outrage!!" original comments were sort of an exaggerated "Eew!" sort of thing. I hang out on the Godawful Fanfiction forums, where we actually search for the worst, crappiest fanfiction we can find and post it there to mock. It's a lot of fun. But we sometimes come out of it wanting to bleach our eyes and cry things like "I'm going to go weep in the corner now." It's not really seriously that bad, but we like to act like it is.
I still think the pics are gross, not because it's sex and not because it's gay sex or even because it's gay alien sex, but because it's rather ugly and makes no sense and is devoid of any emotion. I would totally not pay $70 for it.

The fact is, these fictional alien characters have human looking organs. I just think it's hilarious.
Judging from some of the reactions, I thought I was going to see something really grotesque. Seriously... I think laughed for like 5 minutes straight. But then again, I laugh porn in general. I'm not much of a voyeur. Why watch it when you can some of your own?
