|
|
There's a new vrius that's been sweeping over the net recently. You may get it through either email, msn, or your web browser. I'm not sure what the effects are, except that it disables Norton Antivirus, and attacks the entire computer network, even if you do not have admin rights.
Microsoft has released an update that should remedy this security flaw. Many might have already got it through auto-update, but if you have disabled it, get it ASAP.
A friend of the family got his network fucked up because his daughter (who is exactly the stereotypical internet-princess type, Nexopia and all) clicked on the link without thought or question. Smart. God those internet-security ingoramuses make my ass twitch.
So be safe. Update your computer NOW. _________________

OMFG! Spambot!!!
I bet it's a conspiracy... Microsoft made the virus and they want us to update and totally take control of our lives... before you know it, we're in a virtual reality world with our minds while our bodies generate electrickery... _________________

We all fight the virus, when the virus just wants to be our friend.
Does Microsoft even make updates for 98 SE, anymore? _________________ bitchez n hose |

I read somewhere that when Vista is available, they're gonna stop support of all the other Windowses... so that people will all eventually buy Vista... _________________

Not me, due to this thing called "I can't be arsed buying entirely new hardware just to support a new OS."
And I'm certain I'm not the only one. _________________ WINWARG - 'cos I can |

My Norton Antivirus is alredy disabled, and my internet browser is already as bad as it can be. Besides, one more virus on my computer won't be a disaster. _________________

That's what I thought. Plus, Winows keeps on sending errors with or without viruses.
It'll be fun to display something like:
There is no free space on your harddisk. Viruses require boosted memory. _________________

That has happened. I swear to God, Allah, Darwin and whatever the fuck people find important, that has happened to me.
I think it was Win 95, though. _________________ bitchez n hose |

I've made some research and I've found a nice site, where you can create your own computer errors.

Yeah, Win 95. I messed my old computer so many times when I was still little, that error was a recurring one. _________________ Certified Evil Bastard. Serving your cuppa at Starbucks Terminal One Arrival Hall, Singapore. The one who started Premium Evil's tea. |

And hello to becoming an iZombie? No offense, but I always found that people who used Macs were either a) tards who needs the user-friendliness (ie rednecks), b) tards in hollywood (Jeff Goldblum anyone?), c) tards trying to be unqiue but yet become a member of the afore-mentioend iZombies, and d) Artists (the only group that uses Mac's I respect).
If there is anyone on the planet you know who uses a mac and isn't in one of the categories listed, kidnap them and sell them on the slave market. Seriously, they could fetch in more green than moon rocks.
But yes, Mac is comparitively more stable, and as OS X, like Linux, is based on Unix, is inherantly more secure as well (mircosoft junkies often spout that mac or linux would suffer the same complaints as windows elicts if they were only more popular, not so. Yes, if linux and mac were more used, more flaws could be found and exploited, but you cannot deny: macs and linux is mroe stable than windows in any respect.
MAC AND LINUX FTW! _________________

First, you're perfectly correct in the implication that I'm a 'tard. I've no illusions or aspirations otherwise.
I went Mac because I got tired of the crashes, as well as constantly disinfecting, despywaring, updating, etc. The look and feel is substantially different from my work computer, which is also a plus. I'm not an artist--more of a doodler-dilettante. It has all manner of nifty little bells and whistles which are fun to use: the way it wakes up instantly from sleep, Fn-F11 (clears the screen), Spotlight (instant search), Dashboard, etc. I suppose that puts me in the "redneck" category.
Also, I live only a few miles from Microsoft HQ. I just can't bear to give Bill G. any more cash. _________________ ++?????++ Out of Cheese Error. Redo From Start. |
