Gaming Challenge of the Week

Alll right, lets test your gaming skills here. Some of you say your good, but lets prove it. The deal is, I post a weekly challenge, and in that week, you try to beat it. Some may be easy, and others may be very hard.
Most of these challenges psted by me, I've done them myself, so they're not impossible. Obviously, NO CHEAT CODES!!!! Let's get to it now.

Game: Star Wars: Battlefront 2

Challenge: Beat my new kill/death ratio of 26.73, using Elite bots

I had to start an entirely new game to get this k/d

It was on the console version!
But seriously. I could just forge some crap that sounds just about believable.

How many of us have a computer powerful enough to run Battlefront II?

Hey my k/d is improving very well. I just started this new file last night. Hoa about in a little while, I'll post my new one. Wich will likely be higher than this one. I am after all like a legend at this stuff.

Not too difficult, though I too would have to make a new account. Too many space battles have lowered mine considerably. The Elite bots consideration doesn't mean much, I've had the game on that setting pretty much since I got it. Figured I knew enough from the first one that there wouldn't be much added difficulty. Now, should we also use this thread to suggest our own challenges? Seems a shame to limit this idea to just what one person can come up with.

I've played alot of games before. In fact just to play the game, may be a challenge itself. That's why I'm starting it with a game alot of you had played. So some games, you may not even have.

But I'll occasionally come up with some super challenge, whoever beats, will get my permission to come up with there own challenge. But lets see how other people fare with this first.

I once had a kdr of 36 in Counter Strike: Source, on level cs_assault at the 24/7 cs_assault Straferight server, where it's not just a bunch of noobs. But this is just a thread where you wanted to flaunt a really good round that all of us have on online fps's. It's really just a roll of the dice my friend, and alot of it is being in the right place at the right time.

Yeah, not everyone has this game, but alot of you do. It's not a competition, and like I said, not all of them will be that hard. I'm just trying to make the forums a little bit more intersting with these challenges I set up.

Officially the record is actually 9 minutes and 19 seconds at The Speed Demos Archive. That's even faster than the original metroid (record: 18 minutes 35 seconds)

So yep, it's possible.

Anyway the system here is a bit wacked up. You can say anything here. Hell, for all you know, I could be better than even DKT or somthing, yet the proof for it would be hard to come by (not many people would be able to create multiple recordings and upload them somepalce.)

I suggest a new challenge system: People list a challenge, and jsut let readers try it out.

So here's my two challenges.

1. For Half Life 2: Complete the game using only the Gravity Gun, RPG, and grenades, starting at chapter Black Mesa East. Any difficulty can be selected. It's possible, and I've done it on hard, takes a bugger of a time to do it though.

2. For Unreal Tournament 2004: Nab a headshot on a Manta flyer. Any angle, any map. Bonus points for killing someone else as a by-product. More bonus points if you can do it from the top of the Torlan tower.

For Windows XP: Use it one month without getting an error, the computer freezing, programs freezing or other typical Windows nuisances... Razz

Here I got one.

Beat Super Mario Bros. 2 in under 10 minutes. From start, to end. It is possible, my friend did it! I even watched him do it.

BTW: None of you, and I mean, none of you can beat my new k/d on SW:BF2. Post your k/d if you think you did, but I doubt it. Smile
