The hardest thing I ever did was play a 5 on 1 Age of Empires match me against 5 CPUs on hardest setting. After fifty tries I finally did it by producing Woad Warriors by the thousands and sending wave after wave of them. Balls Balls Balls.

Those were frikken easy. Doom 3 was a pinch (hint: the shotgun is the best weapon evar), and the Strider fights were more or less about how well you can coordinate evading Strider fire whilst whizzing rockets around.
The only time I have difficulty in HL2 is the first Gunship Synth battle in Nova Prospekt. First of all there's very limited and distant areas of effective cover, second the Combine soldiers shooting from the balconies, and third, the bastard synths shoot down direct rocket fire, hence stradling around in the wide open range getting lead shoved up Gordon's ass. Even then it wasn't as mind-raping as the frikken fat-boy mutants in Far Cry. Those guys won't go down for nothing less than a solid sniper shot in the cranium, hell, it takes more than 4 solid rocket connections to down them. The last two levels were rapages because of those fat-boys.
