Greatest.
Heavy metal album.
Ever. |
Omg, Digit, I think I love you!
Actually, it kinda got harder to take Manowar seriously as I (and especially they got older). I think that they are a bit more of a quilty pleasure now. Take that as you will. _________________ Context is everything. |

Hmm...Surprised that no one said Abbey Road by The Beatles
Yes, I listen to old music.
I can't bear anything post-1985.

Nicely put. It's a good description of how all of the albums I mentioned made me feel. Especially the DJ Shadow one. _________________ The Justified Ancient of Mu Mu |

Dude, Manowar are good, very good, but I wouldn't put them past Megadeth. _________________ By the time you realise this sig doen't actually say anything it's already too late to stop reading it. |

Don't go around saying you respect someone less for his or her musical tastes, or suggest that a person's mental capabilities are influenced by that.
Remember, you're talking to a man who's got the Pet Shop Boys on top of his list of favourite bands.
Your muscle-rolling macho talk of my metalband kan kick your's doesn't impress me. _________________ The Justified Ancient of Mu Mu |

wow, i didn't know there's such a heated debate here!
you know what i think? when a person closes his/her mind and ears to anything but the fave band or genre and absolutely refuses to even try out something else, because of the preassumption that "everything which is not metal (for instance, but this usually makes a good instance) is not worth a shit" - that's when things become bad.
as long as someone can say "i normally don't listen to such music, coz it's not my cup of tea, but this particular song i find interesting", everything's in its right place. _________________ i have no time for anal love

But still, when the dust clears and the people shut up, Manowar is still better than Megadeth.

Trust me, on the rare occasion I take things seriously, I don't use words like "muscle-rolling", "macho talk" and "impress" in the same sentence. _________________ The Justified Ancient of Mu Mu |

Top Albums I Advise You Should All Hear
Over these next few days I'm going to be submitting some albums in which I recommed you look at. I can upload them on request.
RHAPSODY
Symphony Of Enchanted Lands II - The Dark Secret
A strong power metal release from the fantasy loving Rhapsody. They actually class themselves as 'Film Score Metal' which once you've heard, can see what they mean. You make a film in your head as you hear the tracks. Really paints a picture. Awesome actor Christopher Lee narrates and sings on the album. So you know it's good. This is one hell of a strong album. The album tells and story, each track being a chapter. So much thought and time has went into this album it's unreal. Strongly advised for those who are power metal fans. I advise to check every Rhapsody album, not just this one.
DRAGONFORCE
Sonic Firestorm
Holy son of a goose. Picking one album from this band was really, really hard. So I'm instantly advising you check every single release. These guys have recently conquered the power metal world. The famous quote "Most bands dream to be bigger than Metallica. This band has the ability to be bigger than Star Wars." should pretty much sum up how awesome these guys are. I can only dream of what they're like live. They recently toured with Edguy and I missed it. Which is slowly killing me inside. Don't miss the chance to see these guys if they're ever in your area (they're coming to America soon).
DIO
Holy Diver
Ronnie James Dio of the legendary Black Sabbath. He is one of the greatest frontmen of all time. I know y'all have hissy fits over opinions, but that's fact. You all know how fantastic he was in Sabbath, and his solo work is just as (if not more) impressive. Holy Diver of Dio is the Heaven And Hell of Sabbath. So yeah, you get the picture. I can't seem to place a fault. Fantastic album. _________________

Hey you all, let me just quote from this scientific article I'm reading at the moment - it made me think of you.*
"There is no way possible that Poison can EVER be on top. Them little underdeveloped chromoshoes don't got cock big enough to fuck an ant. So all you fucking whores out there who praise the ground Poison walks on are in shit. METALLICA RULES and that will never change"
^I have no idea what this person is talking about... why are they making me read this?!

I did not write that! I quoted it. And in the article, it's a quote as well - from the magazine Metal Mania, may 1990.
So... what's this all about, then? _________________ The Justified Ancient of Mu Mu |
