Anyhoo, I'm not that competetive anymore... I've been rowing for more than 5 years now, and the only reasons I still go to the training is because my girlfriend's there, when certain people are there it's funny as hell and I can get free beer...

haha, my girlfriend is a rower aswell, you realise that most normal relationships don't work, as you have to understand the obsession for training over most things.
In a previous relationship it was "hey, do you want to do this ton..."
"NO! I have a 5k ergo test"
"oh...."
now the reply is "ok, i'll do one aswell" which is nice. |

I never talk much about previous rowing matches, unless something funny happened... and yeah, I love giving bad advice... or just generally being a nuisance to the other members. I'm currently the oldest junior member (19, some other guy is one day younger than me ) and the others are all like 11 till 16...

im 18 and im counted as a senior now, £220 membership fee to a £40 membership fee, sucks 
Though I am rowing at Senior 1, so im in the most competitive crew at the moment.

Yeah well, I prefer staying in the junior's section... with the exception of some, most of the other members are real uptight assholes... I prefer to have as less interaction with them as possible.

| haha, our club is really laid back, even members who have won the Henley more times than they can remember are pretty cool. Elite status this summer, bring on ridiculously difficult regatta season. |
