I can't say I'm an expert in the field but I'd rather watch a good horce race than many auther sports (ex: football, soccer, tennis etc..) these just bore me to death.

i like watching thoroughbred racing mainly b/c it looks so exciting and cool to be working in the industry. and plus, i would like to be a jockey when i get older, so itd be sensible to see what its like. and plus, the horses are gorgeous! i saw this one filly, named Island Fashion, who was the prettiest gray ive ever seen. she was a deep iron gray, w/ a silver mane and tail streaked w/ cream coloring. she was beautiful! and one horse i particularly liked was the colt, Afleet Alex. he ran in the triple crown this past spring. omg, when i watched him run in the preakness, omg, that was so scary. as the field was coming around the far turn, Alex was coming up behind another colt, Scrappy T, trying to pass him on his left, when Scrappy T responded to a left-handed whip from his jockey, veered to the left in front of Alex, and collided w/ him! Alex was knocked to his knees, but recovered to not only catch up w/ Scrappy T, but won the race by 5 lengths! he is such an amazing horse!

Sometimes the races are interesting, but I've only seen maybe one or two races. But the names are the best part (e.g. Creamsicle's Lust)!

well, being a jockey aint exactly easy pickins. it requires alot of hard work and dedication. alot of these people are living in their vehicles or barely able to afford a hotel room. but others are very successful. the horse racing industry can be extremely brutal. and jockeying can be extremely dangerous. theres absolutely no room for errors. a single false move in a race, and u might as well be crushed by a field of twelve-hundred pound racehorses. like i said before, it doesnt hurt to see what the life is like.

i bet 55 punds on Lucky day and got 173 dollars back! Cool i then spent it on a pack of 100 baby insect eggs and pupas i sold them to the science museum and got 543 pounds back!

yeah, some of the names are really neat. it makes one wonder where they get them from: Riskaverse, Cajun Beat, Malibu Moonshine, Chattahoochee War, Rey de Cafe, A to the Z, the list goes on. 2 years ago, everyone was teasing my uncle marty b/c the Triple Crown hopeful for that year was the colt Smarty Jones and my uncles name is Marty Jones! Laughing

Heh, I can't say it really interests me, but I see alot of it as my girlfriends brother-in-law owns the majority of a racing syndicate, so we get invited to races alot, go go VIP access and free booze!
