And there isn't anything I can do about it. Tonight, my dog attacked our cat. It happened so fast and alluvasudden, and I dunno what to do. he's a year and 4 months old, so he's still in his puppy phase (hes a german shepherd) My mom gave him to my for highschool graduation, and now she's throwing him out. No matter what I say or do, I can't change her mind.

Right now I am seeing if any of my friends or family will watch over him, at least for the time being until I can get my own place. I've even called my father to see if he can watch my dog, Hudson, for a little while.

This is a living nightmare for me right now. I don't want to give up my dog...

Terrible bummer, Bounty. I'm sort of in the same situation. It isn't actually my dog, she lives with my mom, but I think of her as mine. She's a rottweiler named Missy, and while she's a wonderful dog who's always gotten along with the other animals in the house she's recently started acting agressive towards the cat and the other dog. So my mom and stepdad have started talking about giving her away to a household that doesn't have any other animals. I don't know who they're going to get since Missy's almost eight years old and most people want to adopt puppies, not adult dogs.

While I can understand why they're doing it, I'm kind of mad at them. I hope they decide to give it some time and see if the problem goes away.

Here's hoping you can find somebody to take care of yours, I'm sending good thoughts your way.

No disrespect to your Mom, but i think she should have thought about that before she got the dog. In my opinion, you have a right to keep him. Can't you get rid of the cat? Very Happy

i had to get rid of my dog about three or four months ago after he attacked the guy who delivers our stuff we buy from ebay, and he also ran into a moving car but lived.
