The aLp Drawing in 2's Contest
Non-artists welcome!
Contest now closed due to lack of participation
Let's get together and draw, in celebration of aLp's 1-year anniversary. Your mission is to collaborate with 1 or 2 other people on a drawing of an undocumented scene from aLp, using the Imagination Cubed app.
What to do:
- Find 1 (or 2, if you want a big mess) other people (post in this thread to find each other)
- Coordinate with each other using the forum's private messaging (or any other private means) on a meeting time, and a general plan for the drawing if you want
- At your meeting time, one of you go to http://imagination3.com and invite your collaborator(s) (the app lets you do so by email or AIM) to join your drawing session.
- Draw your scene in one of the following 3 categories:
1. Abe and/or Preston raise money for the rent
2. Abe speed dates
3. Abe's mom visits the apartment (and/or NYC) - Ground rules: no dialogue or captions allowed (sound fx are ok), and keep it PG-13.
- When you're done, use the File->Send or merely Send menu option to send it to my email address (bernie_sws@yahoo.com) - send yourselves a copy too for safe-keeping. In the "Message" field, tell me who the artists are.
- Test out the app first before you get together; you need Flash support in your browser. Also, watch out for the limited "ink" supply (the meter at the upper right).
Who wins?
Each of the 3 categories will have 1 winning drawing. The finalists in each category will probably be my favorites, as usual, and not necessarily the most skillfully drawn. I'll be watching to make sure your works are true joint efforts and not one artist carrying the load. I'll even give special credit to the 3-artist messes that entertain me. Then we'll probably have a community vote to decide the winner in each category.
What prizes can we win?
Each of the co-artists of the 3 winning drawings will win an autographed 8x10 glossy print of his/her choice of any of the recent 9+ panel comics, or "If You See Something", or the Starbucks piece.
What's the deadline for entry?
Wednesday, Oct. 26 (a total of 2 weeks)
How many entries are allowed?
As many as you want to do, except your collaborators must be different for each one.

I guess I'm in, but I've never really drawn something like this with another person so it won't even be as good as the WTFDSJD? pictures I made, which aren't that great anyway. Send me a message on here or something.

Yeah. As many WTFDSJD entries that you get, I'm suprised there weren't more of these sent to you. Are you going to post the ones you did get up here somewhere? I want to see one with 3 people drawing haha.
