well, i don't know about you but i can't wait for DOOM the movie! i was raised on doom, so i'm a huge fan. any on have any thoughts on doom 3? i like it, but doom 1&2 kick so much more ass...

I am a HUGE fan of Doom and Doom 2.

That said, I LOOOOOVE Doom 3... I think there were some really nice touches to that game to make it truly frightening sometimes... like the fact that you can have either a gun or the flashlight but not both (duct tape mod is for wusses). Fun, fun!

Holy off topic poll Batman! What's interesting to me about Doom 3 is how many players are petrified to go anywhere without a hefty firearm in their hands. So as soon as they need to use the torch they bottle it. The torch does as much damage as a shotgun blast, I happily clubbed my way through most of the dark areas without any difficulty. In fact I rather enjoy stoving in heads with a club ( and in the game as well ). Funny how many players lose their nerve without their 9000 rounds per minute security blanket.

I just seen a preview for Doom and it looked stupid to me.

I haven't watched the full trailer yet, just the tv spot, so I can't say whether it looks good, but I like The Rock alright and the monsters looked okay. Anybody know what's going on plotwise with the movie? I heard they were abandoning the demons and decided to do zombies instead. Because there haven't been enough zombie movies lately.

Now, i never played resi evil. But i thought Resident Evil and its sequal were pretty good movies. Not great, but still good.
