I love The Simpsons, and hey, who doesn't. In fact, if you don't, you can take fecal material orally. I'm not going to ask which family member is your favorite, but I ask: Who is your favorite supporting character from The Simpsons? It can range from major supports like Apu and Stupid Flanders to The Mascot and Michael Moore.

For me, a tie is declared. Lenny and Carl are by far my favorite support characters. The way they play off of each other is terrific (like yesterday's new episode when Homer was filming a "snuggle film" in the house and he promised L & C work with the film. Lenny said "I'll work the soundboard" and Carl replied "And I'll perform in the sex scenes"). Classic. Everything they say makes me laugh enough to pee a little.

My favorite would have to be Patty and Selma. They count as one character, don't they? They're so mean to Homer, but everything they say is totally on the mark.

I actually have two favorite supporting characters... Bumble Bee Man--every misfortune that happens to him is almost rather random and slapstick--and Sideshow Bob because he is evil. Well, quasi-evil.
