I was tempted to go with Pinhead, but I don't think he has done enough to merit it. He's cool in theory, but he hasn't seen enough action. It doesn't help that the quality of the Hellraizer serious went downhill, fast.

What about Bloodlines? That was an excellent movie. A lot of people hated it, but I think they have some problems. Inferno was even better. My only problem with the movies was Hellworld. That was kind of like Halloween: Resurrection. This problem of taking classic horror characters and really trying to give it a new pop culture feel. Why can't these people just stick by their old fan base. It works for classic rock (Rolling Stones, tons of people who are in their teens now love the ancient rockers, and they still kick ass) so it should work for movies. Keep making sweet movies without trying to include new pop music and cameos by redneck overrated whores like Jessica Simpson. Stop putting your shitty music into horror movies I grew up with in a lame attempt to get new fans. If kids today can't watch these films if they don't star their crap celebrities, (great 80's and early 90's films didn't need the star power)they are more than welcome to curl up and rot.

Wow, was that a reference to the all-but-forgotten 'Night of the Creeps'?!
That movie ruled! (in that 'what an awful and fun horror movie way). All the characters are named after famous horror (and some sci-fi) people (Romero, Cronenburg, Cameron, Raimi, Landis, etc, etc).
As for my vote...there's some good arguments here. For whatever reason, I've always liked Freddy though. I just groove the fact that he'll get you eventually, cuz you can't just not sleep. And he was pretty creative (tho silly at times) in how he killed people. And c'mon, who can't enjoy seeing Johnny Depp spill dozens of gallons of blood onto the ceiling?
