I got the outer bands when she was a category one. But once she took the gulf like crack and turned into the bitch that's devastating Louisiana, Mississippi Alabama and the surrounding areas. Sad

There's one friend I haven't heard back from. I hope he's in the Superdome, even though I hear the conditions in there are deteriorating, the rest of New Orleans is completely shot.

we're getting alot of news about it down in Australia... its been 30 years i think since Darwin got whacked by cyclone Tracey... what a suckie day that would have been in Darwin on Christmas day, huh?

The joys of living in the centre of a techtonic plate. Very few, if any, natural disasters. Except for that little earthquake in Birmingham, and the tornado the Met Office failed to spot about 15 years ago.

Very happy to be in California right now. Yes we have earthquakes and mudslides and wildfires, but not right now. I'm really hoping we can get some serious relief to those people soon. I'm watching the news and seeing all these people wading around in muddy water up to their waists and with no place to sleep and no clean water or food. I can't believe they haven't gotten more people in to help yet.

i know, about 3 months ago in perth,wanneroo, there was a big bush fire 20m from my dads house, and to think, i though it was raining Shocked

ps:i got my cast off my hand because it was broken and i pass out for some odd reason, its meant to happin in boys only.
