I was watching pred 2 when I started to think when he set up his self destruct bomb. I mean couldnt he have just holstered himself back up the ledge instead of just disciding to kill himself. I mean dosent that show a sign of a wimp. Any thoughts?

Yeah, when I saw that scene I was also thinking that. But after you've seen the movie 4 or 5 times you don't think about it anymore and just enjoy the movie.

Yes, I enjoy watching Predator 2.

what i dont get is: the predators weapons dont cloak with the pred but in avp they do.

The predator technology always cloaks along with the user. Kind of defeats the purpose if otherwise eh?

However technology detached form the cloaking field lose thier cloaking in all films.

The spear did temporarily stay cloaked (possibly the cloaking field extended out to the spear temporarily) but ti did decloak eventually.

Okay, when the xenomorph with the super long tail (grid) imapils the Pred, the tail is still visible inside the Pred, even though it should be cloaked.

WTF?

Ahum, ever thought of it that the cloaking shield is made so that it won't work with Xeno's? I mean, it'd suck to have a cloaking Xeno. No girls dressing room would ever be safe.

Yeah i never analyse films especially the ones i like it ruins them.

Do not attempt to make sense of films leave it to the "experts" as only thier vast lack of fun gives them the right to ruin films

Lots of responses to that question. The answer is really simple though, the special effects team were showing off.

And to Grid Alien's really long tail...what's up with that?

Something I've noticed, the retractable claws are never cloaked when in use, even when the Predator is. The claws, for some reason, are always visable when extended. What's up with that?

Okay, someone asked how the PReds aactivate and control many of thier weapons and equipment, such as extending the combistick and such.

Us humans are already working on making chips implanted into our heads or butts that allow us to telepathically control hardware remotely. The Preds built and interstellar civilization so it seems natural they got chips in thier heads that allow control of thier weapons.

On the contrary. If you look at Gill right before he gets tail-impaled in AvP, his massive armblades are cloaked. As for why the blades weren't cloaked in Predator, that's probably because a) it looks cool, and b) inter-clan technology doesn't have to be standard.
