Honest to god, I can't stand it. I have an unhealthy collection of McFarlane toys (The AVP series, the Alien and Predator ones, hell even the entire MGS series) And I cannot stand it when one of those damn things snaps like a twig. I like to take them out of the package and pose them around, just cuz I can (but apparently not anymore, since McFarlane is only doing "Mini Sculptures") But check this out: I got the Scar Predator in a set of all of em (yes, that big a nerd) and the second I open it *SNIZZAP* plasma caster handle breaks to itty bitty peices. Got a replacement, *SNIZZAP* giant blade on right hand breaks. Got a third one, and although it hasn't broken yet, it refuses to stand up on its own on the stand it came with. But the AVP series isn't the only one I have troubles with, lets go over the listing:
Raiden's Gun strap SNIZZAP
Fortunes Glasses SNIZZAP
Scar Predator SNIZZAP X 3
Solid Snake (MGS1) Famas Handle and Bandanna SNIZZAP
Revolver Ocelot (MGS1) Both Revolver triggers SNIZZAP
Spawn (Hamburger Head With Sword and Malbolgias severed noggin) Chain Holder SNIZZAP
Violater (Of the same series) Left Arm SNIZZAP
And more to mention
I just wish for a little more durability and functionality of these figures... Because the second my neices and nephew comes over, I can kiss them g'bye.

Well dude i've gone throgh the same problems as well with mine they all keep snapping the plastic is like glass man it is crap basicly.
My robocop head and leg snapped off as i took him out of the paceging too.
My scar probs are the wristblades/scimtarblades/legs and arms.
the same with celtic he has brocken as well so i've had to replace him as well numerous times.
I did have Predator the hunter with thw combi-stick and his head fell off thus i had ti glue it back on now i've lost the articulation then it fell off again now i do not have him waaaaaaaaaa i miss my predator
I had the problem with the 12 inch predator too so goes to show that the toys are not good quality for money at all they should be stronger cos what is the point in articulaing them if they snzzzap[/url] _________________ I will kill anyone who tries to take Scar from me from AVP as he is mine!

| The leg of the Alien figure I use for "open-mouthed Abe" (Grid? Warrior? I forget) broke off at the hip. I wasn't even doing anything special to it. Good thing I only shoot it from the neck up. |

Any chance i could please have the predator i only need that to complete my collection and my shop has none left and not getting any more and i cannot shop on the net it is soo difficult as i have autism and do not have a credit card. Aren't the McFarlane toys supposed to stay in the blisters? Always thought that they were made to break as soon as you opened them. Like a little time bomb, making you regret spoiling the plastic, freeing them from the box. _________________ poking the dead because they don't feel a thing. |

With the overall detail, you can't help but sometimes bust open those clamshell packaging (i prefer the blisters)
But its starting to piss me off that McFarlane isn't making any "figures" that move and can be posed. Instead, they are all pre-shaped and immovable. I was going to get some of those Conan figures, but I don't really like pre-made dioramas. _________________ Needing is Wanting

Yeh me too i prefare figures and mc farlane are good for detail but not strength in their toys which is sad really they just keep breaking all the time. _________________ I will kill anyone who tries to take Scar from me from AVP as he is mine!

Must be a US thing. I have 2 aliens a Pred and the Queen as well as Ash from Army Of Darkness and nothing has broken on me.

Im having similar problems with my Scar Pred. His caster broke off, and he refuses to stand. The scabbard for the sword on the nakle broke too, but it still is functional. It bugged me though when it did... -_- _________________ Dance the dance of Fallen Gods. |

| I don't have any McFarlane figures, but if there as crappy as they sound, I'll content myself with the old toys you could get at KB Toys. I think they were made by Kenner. |

Well we arn't really talking prices (although $15 for a flimsy peice of shit is a tad much), its all about availability. I can't go to any store anymore and find a Scar or Celtic pred, anywhere. I got mine off the Mcfarlane website, where I had to order the whole series to get mainly those 2. But hey, the figures are cool, and they are neatly mounted... in my box (Havn't unpacked em yet)
I can't find any AVP figures anymore. Goddamn limited availability >_<
Well, Mcfarlane is coming out with a series 2, but you know... they are dioramas.
If only the claws and arm-blades could come off... _________________ Needing is Wanting

I got my Scared one shortly after their release. Any one seen this handsome devil? He's $100 at a nearby comic store, called Great Escape Comics and Games. I WANT HIM... He'd be better than a damned figure that constantly wants to commit suicide... Awhile back my Scar was STANDING on my TOWER, which is located on my desk next to my monitor, the keyboard and mouse nearly in my lap. Anyway. I was playing Aliens vs Predator 2: Primal Hunt, in the middle of a kill, and the next thing I know, Scar falls, catches his foot on an uncovered panel, flips and flies away from the tower, lands on the desk, THEN bounces and flips, his foot landing squarely on my keyboards "Power" button. (Virtually Indestructible Keyboard, cost $60 bucks. but it was worth it.) Needless to say, I did not get my kill, and I was mad at Scar... _________________ Dance the dance of Fallen Gods. |

I snagged a solid snake from ebay. Less then a week later, he 'stepped on a landmine' and lost a leg. Poor bastard. Paid about thirty bones for him too.

My solid snake is mostly intact... but the trigger on the FAMAS snizzaped like a twig, and my mgs1 snake's bandana and famas barrel broke. _________________ Needing is Wanting
