Well, I say it was your subconsciousness that made that stylistic choice, because you secretly wanted to merge the most badass of the Turtles with the most badass of the Watchmen. I don't blame your subconsciousness - it's only logical!

Seriously though, the patterns on his chest are so much like the symmetrical stains on Rorschach's mask that I instantly assumed that was the point. My bad for reading too much into it.

Nope. Nothing intentional at least. But I'm not naive enough to think that there isn't influence. Doom 3 and its art style has had a huge impact on my work.

The original facial design was inspired by spider features, but I am aware of the resemblance to the Doom 3 imps.

Edit: That being said, I hope it doesn't look too similar. Not too worried about originality. I did this to practice my tablet skills mostly.
