And he does. I saw it with my girlfriend 2 days ago, and it's quite awesome. _________________

I hope I'll get to see this sometime next week. Was supposed to go with my friend but she has "issues" with her mobile phone... -.-
EDIT: Went to see it yesterday, wasn't bad at all. _________________ After my life I'm just gonna relaaax in Hell..!

Next week, baby. I had to put some extra effort in finding the one theatre in the area that shows a proper undubbed, non-3d version of it. Fuck 3d. _________________ i have no time for anal love

was ok. Is it just me and the Mrs., or are the last three films "darker"? I don't mean philosophically, just dark to look at? Almost like the film makers use only three dark colors in their shots...?

Sitting in the theater now. Completely pissed. First the usual site where I check times was wrong. Then the machine where we purchased tickets crapped out. It couldn't print the tickets, but we were charged alright. So killing half an hour, we grab seats to get good spots. But the AC wasn't on. And they are playing the crappiest, most obnoxious commercials imaginable and bullshit pre-show trivia. No I don't give a damn who got married on a bus!
And the movies coming soon all look like crap. (Of 17 posters only 2 or 3 look like they may be worth half a damn). Seriously, after this I'll seriously consider just giving up on going to theaters altogether. It's just a miasma of terrible smells, peoples and experiences.
This movie better be good.

Okay it was. Not spectacular but it did what it needed to. _________________

3D is horrible when your eyesight isn't the best possible and you don't have glasses on. Gives you a nice headache... (Happened to me when I hadn't got my glasses yet and went to see Avatar 3D...) _________________ After my life I'm just gonna relaaax in Hell..! |

I haven't seen DH part I, so I have no intentions of going to see part II. Besides, I usually watch everything on cable nowadays. The theatre experience is aggravating and expensive. I can sit at home and make my own popcorn (which won't give me the squirts), drink beer, and rewind it if I miss something. I can even take a piss if I need to. No kids crying, no idiots on their phones gabbing, no teens talking to the screen, and no worries about environmental controls.
Yeah. Fuck going to the movies. I probably will go see "Dark Knight Rises" but I'll go to the earliest possible show on a Saturday, a few weeks after its release. Those showings are almost always mostly empty. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

Thank God in Holland you can get beers in a theatre. And I don't mean no stupid plastic cup, I'm talking about an actual bottle of beer. Those .45 cl flip-top bottles. _________________

They have those here, too. Not every theater, but some that play movies that have been out for a while. I recall one in NOLA (not sure if it is still there) where I saw The Big Lebowski and had beer. Place also had couches instead of traditional seating. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

The AFI Silver Theater, a mere five minute walk from home for me, serves beer, wine, and hard cider. They also play a lot of old movies, dating from the advent of film to current indie and foreign releases.
Every summer they do a festival called, "Totally Awesome: Films of the 80s." I'm going to see The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Time Bandits, and The Princess Bride. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."
