Since the forum has been a bit slow, I thought I'd try another "What..." thread.
Anyway, me and the family made the trek to Las Vegas over the 4th of July weekend (a holiday here in YankeeTown). We had thought this trip out and prepared ourselves with new videos for and toys for babygirl cfos, window screens for both kids (temps hit a high of 117 F during the drive), and formula a-plenti.
Also we timed our journey to coordinate with the littlest cfos's nap time which happens to be morning (daycare reports she sleeps for 4-5 hour blocks in the morning).
We thought we could get by with a 1 hr stop or the whole trip. It took 10 or so hours and we had multiple stops, mostly due to crying jags (which are understandable since the littlest one is in a rear-facing car seat, strapped down, with not much entertainment).
For the trip home, we left earlier (4am) in hopes of capturing more asleep time. We did shave a little over 2 hours off our journey (I should mention that we did lose an hour to placate the babygirl cfos by taking her to a dinosaur museum and another hour at a McDonalds playland), but all-in-all, we would not do this trip again. The littlest cfos was too young to sit in a rear-facing car seat for that long of a trip. The other one (2.5 years old) did much better but was hell to get her back in the car after pulling over for a break. We had to go through 2 elmo videos, a Land before Time video, a Thomas the Train toy (a "baby choo-choo"), and other enticements and promises.
So fellow forum followers, what would you do differently? _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

No doubt. They're small. Shipping costs couldn't have been too exorbitant. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

I think the American Pudgy-ness comes in around 5 or so. Having said that, babygirl cfos is pretty skinny. She doesn't always fit into her 2-T pants (age-appropriate). Her diet is also different than most, I think. She really like lettuce and olives. Then again, she dips chicken nuggets in ketchup, which grosses me out. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

What would've I done differently... Probably wouldn't have chosen the place I'm studying at the moment but some other that I really like... That happens to me when I try to be better I am. But of course it might be that even if I could choose again I wouldn't. _________________ After my life I'm just gonna relaaax in Hell..! |

I would've used one of the kids as a hood ornament... _________________
