Ok, so it is an older movie, but it was on one of the movie channels and I got sucked in because of all the Jeff Bridges excitement. Granted, I am a big fan of Mr. Bridges and think he should have gotten an Oscar for the Big Lebowski and not the Country singing movie, but my is this a steaming pile of shit that was left to bake in a Louisiana swamp. It has fermented and sprouted a nasty looking shrubbery.
Why?
Jeff Bridges went to the Kevin Costner School of Horrible Accents.

| Ahh, back when "mad bomber" movies were all the rage- I haven't seen it since the laserdisc came out, but I'm sure it hasn't aged well... |

Tommy Lee brings it in the movie, but Jeff's attempt at an accent go over about as well as my attempts at an accent. Love Lloyd Bridges in the movie, though. Spot-on as an alcoholic.

I really don't know why he enrolled in that curriculum, but he did and he likely has the transcripts showing a "B". Maybe he thought it would be his Philadelphia or Big -- you know the shows that made people (not me) re-think that Tom Hanks is a better actor than he was in Bosom Buddies or his short role as Alex P. Keaton's alcoholic uncle that was caught drinking Vanilla extract for the alcohol content.
