Heard a story on NPR that the Dutchies are tired of all the Americans (anyone else?) going to Amsterdam and smoking their weed. According to the story there are either Dutchie only places or places that can kick out non-Dutchies? Any confirmation form the resident Dutchies?

Geez, we were tired of that years ago!

Nah, just kidding. I think it has to do with the fact that the government wants to crack down (hurr hurr hurr) on criminal drug gangs or something, by introducing a weed pass, thus having more control on who buys weed and stuff.

I think Munan knows a bit more about it, since I'm not really that up to date with everything that's going on, besides what I read in the papers now and then, and what I just told is about it.

But hey, we're also tired of all the Germans coming to Holland just for the weed, so we're not discriminating Wink

I'ts not yankee specific, indeed.

Comes from having (1) a law and order government and (2) the fact that no other country is as enlightened as the Netherlands when it comes to drug laws, so all the people from other countries have to get theirs here and since they're not used to the shit, they create a lot of problems, and indeed: people are getting tired of it.

Mind you, that's "locals", not "people of the Dutch nationality". So you can settle in the Netherlands if you want to smoke that badly.
