Picked it up a few days ago. Haven't had a chance to play it yet? Has anyone else? The xbox forums talked about it being a bit glitchy like New Vegas. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

I heard that the first one didn't nearly live up to expectations, the plot of the second was pants-on-head retarded and the third is surprisingly decent.
Of course I'd still prefer to play Overlord to get my evil jollies on. _________________

Put this in earlier today. So far, it is fantastic looking. Similar style of game play and they hit you early with the "make a choice". Get to play the lute and make pies for money. Hear some talk on the Xbox forum about a Henry the VIII achievement. Should be interesting. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

| I've been told that, if I ever wanted to get into these, I shouldn't play this one. |

I'm not sure I'm following you Bloo. Are you saying that you shouldn't play it because you'd find it addicting? Or that you shouldn't play this cause it is a load of crap with British Accents? _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

I really enjoyed the first one. Probably for the same reasons as Sal. _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

I enjoyed all three of the games, the 3rd was fairly short to me though. _________________

Uh, that second one, I guess. That's only one opinion, though I haven't heard any others, aside from the ones in this thread I guess. |

I can tell the 3rd one will be short (I'm nearly at the castle on that mystical road).
Bloo -- it is a light-hearted romp of a game. As the Afrikaner and Sal pointed out, there is some humor with them. I mean, it is fun to knock a bandit down by farting in his face -- wouldn't you agree? _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

The Fable series has always slightly reminded me of The Bard's Tale series. I do enjoy immature humor. _________________

Maybe I should check it out. I haven't been much of a gamer lately, though... I'll probably get around to it in six months or something.
I'm still sucked into Assassin's Creed, though, and after being chased around by six or seven old guys trying to chop my balls off with a magic apple during the game's last (epic) scene, not before messing around for a good two hours doing nothing but running around Kingdom crashing into guards and fightings legions of pissed off dicks-in-chain mail trying to shove my hidden blade up my ass, I'm convinced this might be one of the greatest games ever made in the last decade, and the only thing I'll need for a good while. |

It seems that becoming king/queen is only the half-way mark (depending on how much gold you have (and whether you care about your people). _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |
